Did you send joint leases covering the period of marriage or a joint title to your house? From reading these forums, the proof of cohabitation (more than just a drivers licenses/IDs/utility bills/mail with the same address) is important.

You didn't state in detail the evidence you sent - just make sure the bank account/credit card statements cover the entire period of marriage.

If you sent all that already, maybe you will just have to resend (but I would also include documents received in the last couple of months too). I would read the RFE carefully, and send exactly what they ask for...

Hi Mrsfrisbey,

I hope you are doing all right.

What do you think they missed? Usually they want new things, not resending the same things. Did you send bank statements for every month of the marriage? They usually don't miss things... but if you think they aren't noticing them you can resend as long as you send new stuff too.

Good luck.

they just said i sent bank statements, photos, and tax. and i should send more evidence (like all the other documents i sent them) that is why i was confused. we don't have any credit cards. i sent them from the marriage and until he passed away. we were only married for less than 2 years and we didn't have any kind of mortgage, children. but i will send them again because the letter never said those aren't enough. it said i didn't send those.

You didn't have a lease? What about a family member that can attest to the marriage? Did you send bank statements for every month? Also, in your cover letter for the RFE, mention that you sent more than that on it.

If you put a list of what you sent and the text of the RFE then people could help you better. Best wishes.

If you were living with other people have them write affidavits to state that you were living with them. We don't have kids either so we stated at the bottom of our RFE cover letter that we didn't have children. If they're asking for something you don't have, state the reasons why you don't have those items in your cover letter.
