Nothing. London doesn't care about your relationship. Also, send just the form. Attach nothing.

If your NOA2 expires (4 month validity) before interview, then they ask that you bring a new letter of intent (notarized) from the American fiancé to the interview.

I thought a new letter of intent was required for interview anyway, but only needed to be notarized if the interview was outside the 4 month expiry date. I was going to ask my fiance to send a new letter to me this week so I had it in plenty of time before the interview. But your reply makes it sound as if I don't need this at all provided I interview within 4 months from NOA2. Am I understanding that correctly? If so, that should mean he doesn't need to send me anything at all as I'm also self-sponsoring - is that right from your experience?

Visa Journey tells you many things the US citizen must send like copy of the whole petition, NOA2, new letter, etc. BUT if you read your instructions from London, they tell you in the letter when a new letter of intent is required...if petition expired. And they provide a list of things to bring to the interview in London on their website. Those extra things posted in the VJ guides are not part of the documents for interview in London. If you are self-sponsoring, then there is really nothing you need from the US half of the team. Many finish the visa process in about 2.5 months from NOA2 if they are prepared and get on with it, so a new letter of intent isn't usually needed. Looks like you have until around Nov 18.

That's great - thank you for replying. I did read the letter through, but of course once you read something that says it is required, it sticks in your head as a 'what if'. Hearing from someone else who already went through the process really helps smile.png And of course, the less paperwork that needs to go back and forth between the US and the UK at this point the better - less chance of anything going missing if I can prepare everything on this side!

I do have, exactly, until November 18th, which I think should give me plenty of time - somehow we seemed to get through NVC and get the packet 3 really quickly - just lucky I guess. So at the moment it looks like I have plenty of time.
