Question about reapplying later on...

Hello everyone,

I'm not sure if this question has been asked before but here it goes. My wife and I got married Dec 2011 and we submitted our application Jan 2013. I delayed the application for over a year. Now it's been approved and now in the middle of it. I don't want to write an essay here about what happened between us but basically we are getting divorced. She resides in Honolulu, Hawaii and I live in Canada. It may sound weird for everyone but it's not your typical reason for divorcing or ending a marriage. My question is what would happen if we were to get married again later on and reapply for the whole thing? Would there be a problem? Is it even possible to reapply again or is this a one time thing?

You can get remarried and reapply, sure. There will probably be a bit more scrutiny and they want to make sure that you aren't just doing this for a "friend" to gain a benefit. But it is certainly not a one-time only deal.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
