Hey everyone, I badly need some help. I don't know if its the pressure or just being excited to get over the visa process. LOL!

We got our NOA2 recently. Passed our petition last April 23,2013, got the NOA1 (I-797c) May 7, 2013 and got the NOA2 last August 2, 2013 which has been approved dated of July 29, 3013, we got it processed for only 96 days (3 months). Right now, we are a little confuse on what to do about how to schedule for the interview? What to do then? I already made little preparations with all the papers and evidences and right now, we are waiting for the MNL number.

When we get the MNL number, can we get to schedule an interview in the U.S. Embassy? How does it work? and what happens after and what should be done by then? HELP!!!

Thank you.

You can schedule online through the US embassy Manila website or call the call center of the embassy, the phone number you can find in their website also.

After you get ur MNL number from the NVC...you can wait for the letter of instructions from the US Embassy Manila (in our case I received my letter 30 days after we know our MNL number) and make the interview schedule ....or go ahead make ur schedule for interview, have ur medical with SLEC at least 1 week before ur interview schedule, attend CFO.... The downside of making an interview schedule without waiting for the US Embassy Manila letter of instructions is that US Embassy Manila might not yet receive ur files from NVC when ur fiancee will have her interview and CO will not interview ur fiancée at all.

I suggest u finish all the docs ur fiancée will need for her interview while waiting for your MNL number....then send the docs after u get ur MNL number...this way she will receive ur docs and letter of instructions from the US Embassy Manila more or less at the same time...then she can make her interview schedule appointment, have her medical with SLEC.

Ur fiancée can start collecting her and her son's Nso birth certificates, , CENOmar, NBI clearance etc next week.

If you want to speed up the process, next week you should start calling the National Visa Center (NVC) every day until they give you your MNL case number.

Once you have your MNL case number, you can pay the visa application fee at BPI. Then you can schedule your Embassy interview either online or through the call center. After you schedule your Embassy interview appointment, you can complete the medical any time up to about a week before your interview.

You can even complete the CFO seminar before your interview. If you complete your CFO seminar before your interview, you will have to return to the CFO office after you get your visa, and they will affix a CFO sticker to your passport.

Thank you very much,

ff-up question about CFO,

What is that CFO? I'm not familiar with it. How do you do it? Where do they do the CFO seminar and do we pay for that too?

CFO is the "Commission on Filipinos Overseas." It's a Philippines government program. Your fiancée will need to attend their seminar and have their sticker affixed to her passport in order to board a flight to the U.S. The cost of the seminar and sticker is about $15.

There are many threads in the Philippines forum about the CFO.

Yes, the Filipino beneficiary must complete the CFO seminar and get a CFO stamp in their passport.
