Hey we did the same! My fiance called and said the service request is only available from january 12th, 2013 on!

We would have reached than the 5 months of waiting time!

She also said to us that our case wouldn't have a problem it would be good just normal processing time! LoL ask myself then what takes them so long!

For all those still waiting for the NOA-2, I think it is just the "Luck of the draw" for those that got them rather fast. It is a shame that we can't ask for assistance before the 5 month processing time expires, but that is the way it works. Ours took 115 days. Others took 30 days, etc etc. Now we are waiting on the next step. I have resolved my self, as a retired military man that this is just a "HURRY UP AND WAIT" situation. Hang in there and your response will come.

Something else to realize is that the cases you see on Visa Journey are a VERY SMALL percentage of the 1,000's of cases being filed. that is how I had to look at it. For every case you see on VJ there are probably 500 or more cases that are not on VJ. So it is just a waiting game. I know this is not what you want to hear, but it is reality.

Wishing you all well and hope you hear soon.

Trisha and Hakobrena, I did call today and spoke with customer service she told me the same thing, still within the processing time, I was like I'm three weeks away from my deadline and still nothing, she said it's not a deadline, it's just our processing window that they say and she said it could go over 5 months..(Say what???) ranting33va.gif ..furthermore..I requested to speak to a level 2 officer and she said well he will tell you the same thing, I said I don't mind, but I would still like to..so the wait to speak to him is two hours and that's going to be about 5:45pm for me since I called an hour ago, really don't know what to say to him, but I'll think of something. I'll keep you guys updated on what he will tell me.

It's just my luck that we would be one of thee three for four couples on VJ that haven't heard anything, but I'll keep my head up and see what happens when I talk to this level 2 officer. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes!!! ClockWatch2.gif

Well people! My hopes are already lost, a girlfriend of mine was telling me that her girlfriend is in the same situation like mine (she is german and he is american) and they are both still waiting for NOA2 SINCE 13 MONTHS!!!

It makes me sick in my stomach and head to think about this! I'm so frustrated and close to give up on everything! It is so ridiculous and it seems like to much for me,... Pls what should I do? It kills me!

No NOA2 yet, it's almost Christmas Day, and the lawyer said your fiancé will be home by New Year's Day?

You might want to consider getting another lawyer. Just kidding. I think the lawyer was way too optimistic.
