August 2013 K-1 Filers

I call them every week Monday and Thursday. Without trying to sound too offensive, it is kind of annoying the way they answer the phone, very rude, like you are an inconvenience. I think I have also only talked to one operator where english was his first language. Nothing against those for those which english isn't their first language, I just don't understand why they work at a call center, very hard to have a conversation with, or gain further information.

Thanks for the reply. I heard that people at DoS are more friendly and knowledgeable. I haven't really called yet as I wanted to give it a month at least. Will try this Friday and hopefully, will have luck with DoS. Good luck to us all!

Uggh this is so frustrating, 2 petitions ahead of me and 2 petitions behind me got approved on the 10th of October! Come on TSC. Show us some love!

Yes and this is despite that fact that we have known each other since January 2010 and we have submitted documents that show more than 6 trips that we have taken together, not to mention, numerous photos with family and friends. I am still hopeful though, that we might see an approval within a week or two.

From what I understand, the Alien Registration Number is assigned only if the petitioner or the beneficiary does not already have one.

I believe there are now 24 couples who applied AFTER us, who have already been approved (and those are only the ones we can see on VJ, no telling how many others are out there that we don't know about). There is a large group of late August filers who haven't gotten NOA2s....it's depressing. I try to remember that there are a lot of couples who filed before us who haven't been approved either, but seeing all these 15 and 19 day approvals all over is just unfair. I want to scream every time someone comes on VJ and says "I got approved in 20 days!"

I hope everyone from August, and those who applied before us, get an NOA2 soon! Good luck to everyone!!!

NOA1: 8/9/13

Notification of Alien number change: 9/3/13

Notification of Name changed (due to misspellings)9/4/13

Still waiting for NOA2 :( it is very upsetting to see Initial Review everyyyy day...

Amy, what about your fiance? Did he ever have an alien number assigned to him? If not, he will be assigned a number soon. Its like a unique identifier that USCIS uses to identify a person and his/ her subsequent applications (AOS, GC, etc..)
