Need help preparing my I-130 petition

Hello everyone,

I need help with my I-130 forms. As requested to send a copy of my birth certificates and marriage ceritificate it states to send a copy of each. Do they mean i need to send a xerox copy of my birth certificates and marriage certfiicates, or do i need to send the original copy of my birth and marriage certificates?

sorry its kinda confusing and i wanna make sure im doing it correctly the first time.

Do not send originals to the USCIS with the I-130 petition. Only send photocopies. The originals will be needed later.

copy = photocopy = xerox copy

08/16/13 NOA date

09/11/13 Biometrics appointment at West Sacramento Application Support Center

09/17/13 Application status changed to Testing and Interview

10/03/13 EAD in production.

10/15/13 EAD/AP combo card received

10/17/13 Text message received for interview date of November 19. Applied for Social Security card.

10/23/13 Interview notice received. AP notice received. Social Security card received.

11/19/13 Interview-AOS Approved!

11/27/13 Green Card received!!!

Photocopies only. You will present the originals during the interview.

Generally speaking originals are sent to the NVC during the second stage of the process when the beneficiary applies for the visa and the petitioner submits the affidavit of support. The NVC will forward the originals (or certified copies) to the embassy or consulate.
