how long will it take to receive packet 3 in the mail?

Hey guys I'm just curious what is the time frame upon the embassy recieving our file from nvc,to me being mailed the packet 3 instructions by post? The London embassy received our file 31st July,should I be receiving anything anytime soon by post?

My visa left NVC 7/22 and I believe it arrived 7/25...they are telling me that the Packet 3 letter was sent out 7/26 but we haven't received it yet. There are a few of us whose Packet 3 letter was sent out around the same date and none of us have received it yet...we're hoping it comes tomorrow. Hope that helps.

Hey!,how do you know that your packet 3 was sent out? Do you get that info from the ceac status tracker or by calling the embassy?

Hi - when you check this site, https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx it will say In Transit once NVC assigns a number and ships it out...then it will change to Ready. When it changed to Ready, I called the DOS number 202-663-1225 (hit 1, then 0) and they confirmed what day Packet 3 was mailed. I wouldn't try to call the Embassy - I hear it's a waste of time.

Yea mine says ready right now has done since last Thursday .ill keep that number in mind thank you:-).

From mine saying ready it was about a week, slightly less actually. This is very recent so should be accurate.

How and where are you guys able to track your cases once NOA2 has been and things get sent to NVC and your local embassy? We got our NOA2 at the end of July byt we haven't had any mail or alerts for Packet 3 or anything...

Hi - once you have a case number, you can use this tracking site - just put your number in and it will tell you the current status and the last time there was an update;

yes, once NVC assigns your number (which in your case will start with LND for London), you can use that website to check your status.
