My wife, the benificiary, works only part time. Will this effect the consulate's decision?

Nope. As long as you meet the requirements (or have a co-sponsor who does and is either a us citizen or a perm resident), you're good to go.

Not in the slightest. I wasn't working at the time of my interview .

Thanks everyone. My wife worried that she has to show her income. Yes, my income is above 125% requirement. If the beneficiary is unemployed do you just put ' not working' in your ds230 and other forms?

She Must be above the poverty line by 125%

"She" is the "beneficiary", so no, not at all, unless her income will continue from the same source once she's in the USA. The immigrant is normally expected to leave their job abroad when they move to the USA.
