You were right, it is at the NVC!

Impatient me (as my partner calls me) decided to give them a call, and guess what, the petition IS indeed at the NVC and it was assigned a Case Number yesterday!!! YAY!

I checked on the CEAC website, and it says "At NVC".

I can't believe we finally got a CN!

I hope you and the others from August get your NOA2s ASAP, and yes, we should definitely meet for a drink once we're all reunited in SoFLA!

Sending positive vibes your way...

I told you!!!!!! hahaha.... I had that feeling.... thanks for the vibes!!! and for sure we will catch up once you are here in SoFL!.... yay!!! I am so happy for you guys.... I do not even know what to expect for mine anymore... I do not even check the status on their website.... they are just so messed up.... lots of people who filed after me got their NOA2s... haha.... I am just going to sit and wait, meanwhile, Europe here we come!!! hahaha... I need the vacation..... and maybe when we are over there we get an approval.... keep me posted and send me a private message if anything... you guys should be here January or February at the latest... and I will be going to your wedding... haha.... take care...

Thanks! I did follow their timeline and saw that it took six days. I am going to wait until the end of the week.

Sounds like a plan!

Hopefully we will follow closely behind you Nikkosan, and thanks for all of that information too. You can bet we will be following all of those steps (of course a bit different as we are going through the London embassy; have to check on when to schedule medical, etc.). At this point, though, we still did not get the notification it was shipped to NVC, so that is really annoying me! I am hoping it is this week! Keep us posted on your progress!

It should be...

Meanwhile, this AM I looked at petitions that were given a case number in the days before ours. Long story short, three days before us is already IN TRANSIT, and 4 and 5 days before us are READY for interview at the Consulate!!! That means we could be in transit by the end of this week, and at the consulate in Naples by mid week next week!!!

Is it the petitioner or beneficiary who needs to call DOS for the case number?

I let my partner (the petitioner) call.

Petition approved 11/18/13 after Texas service center received the petition 11/06/13. Texas Service Center Rocks. approved NOA2 as short as 12 days dancin5hr.gif

How do I prepare for Packet 3 in advance? Do I send it to NVC or my fiancee will bring it to the embassy during interview? Thanks

Whoa!!! THAT was fast!!! Congrats!

Look at the webpage for your embassy, they should have a link to Packet 3 if they do that over the internet. Also, try to have a look at what it's been said about your specific Embassy/Consulate, you should find more targeted info that way! Best of luck!

Yes you did tell me!!! LOL

And yes, I know how seeing someone getting approved faster is a total BIT*H!

I believe it all evens out at the end, longer USCIS approval, faster ROC, etc.! ;-) HEHEHEHEHE

When are you heading to Europe?!?!

We truly hope to be able to have the visa in hand before the end of the year, we will then have to pack up everything and move back. We currently have stuff in Italy, back in London where we lived for a year, and now here in Spain where we've been hanging out for quite some time now just waiting to see what would happen. We're soooo ready to get back home, and retrieve everything from storage!!! It'll feel amazing to be able to sleep back in our bed!

Hey Ladies!

I'm sure yours is also around the corner, given it's been two weeks already from your RFE!

And who knows, perhaps we will be Naples on the very same day, how cool would that be?!?!? Two same-sex couples on the same day!

Fingers crossed!!!

Another quick update:

My petition was shipped to the Consulate and it is now showing "In Transit".

I have spent about half hour playing with the DHL website.

Just a word of advice for those trying to get their "Waybill #": make sure you select the "Shipment Destination", as not doing so may prevent you from locating your package.

That's exactly what I did, I tried first locating ALL shipments and I could NOT see one shipped to Italy, after 5 minutes of playing with the system, I went back and selected Italy from the menu, and guess what, it worked!!! Just to make sure my theory was correct, I went back and tried with ALL shipments, and once again, couldn't locate mine.

NVC has been extremely fast for us, I wish the rest of you still in the process the same kind of treatment.

Cheers!
