What does this mean has happened to my case??

It used to say 'initial review' but for past couple if days has said this.....

At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information.

To view the status of a case, please enter the corresponding application receipt number. The 13-character application receipt number can be found on application notices you have received from the USCIS. It begins with three letters such as (EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC). Dashes ("-") should be omitted when entering a receipt number. However, all other characters, including asterisks ("*"), can be included if listed on your notice as part of the receipt number.

I think it means that your case has been 'touched' and you can expect an update very soon.

It can either be an approval (in most cases) or a RFE (request for evidence).

Either way I think it's a good sign that your case is moving along.

Timeline after visa approval

Immigrant fee paid on ELIS - Jan 24th

POE - Jan 25th

Update on GC and SSN

(as of March 14th, 2014)

ELIS status - Closed (Card produced)

USCIS case check with receipt number (starts with IOE) - Card delivered in the mail

SSN - Received (Went to SSA location to apply for one)

N-400 Naturalization Process

N-400 package mailed in - Nov 7th

Payment posted on cc account - Nov 10th

NOA (hard copy) - Nov 14th

Biometrics - Dec 7th

Thank you. I hope your right as this wait is so painful emotionally. Once the NOA2 is passed it will feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel. I see your a Las Vegas filer as well. Be cool to stay in touch :)
