actually they open. today, but I want to know uf they are scheduling any interviews in general or if they started september yet, how do I find out??? and cant seem to find anybody here that ha a recent cc and waiting for interview for the same visa category as mine from egypt to find out anything, how long am I suppose to be waiting???

You have to be patient. I know you want your interview date now. But be practical. The embassy has been closed more than open for over a month. That means all interviews that were scheduled have to be rescheduled.

Look what happened for India because of the monsoons. All July people got moved to August. So no new appointments were made.

You can't expect them to start scheduling new appointments when they aren't complete with what they have.

Now I know they were closed the last week because of the terror alerts.

You just have to be patient. Nothing to freak out about you at least know by turning on the news exactly what's going on with your embassy.

All you can do is call and wait. Even contact your embassy maybe they can say something to the issue on how backlogged they are.

Goodness our poor Cambodia peeps here been waiting since March.

My case was to Syria but because what's going on there I got transferred to Jordan do u guys have any idea if they start scheduling interviews for september do I have a chance to get in interview by September or October ?

I don't understand why would your medical expire in 5 months when they are good for a year. You have to travel and POE to US within 6 months so you still have a month after interview to immigrant to US.

Now don't you have to take a new Sputum to make sure alls clear?

Finally got a response from the Consulate. They moved hubby's interview to August 21st from October 16th which would have been 1 day after his medicals expired. We were also told that if he didn't get an earlier interview he would have to redo the medical and the Sputum Test. Thankfully we got an earlier interview!

From what I understand, if you have to do a Sputum Test, then your medical expires 3 months after the Sputum Test. I do know that there are some instances when it is only good for 6 months such as inactive TB and something else. But since my hubby was required to do the Sputum Test, he was told 3 months after the results were ready his medicals would expire which would be October 15th. We also found out the results were ready on 07/15/13 but told us we couldn't have them until 10 weeks had passed which was on 07/26/13 which frustrated the heck outta me.

Dwheels76, thank you so much for telling us to include the specifics of the medical issue in our request. I added specific dates of all the previous correspondence with them regarding the medicals for them to look up in addition to them telling me that they had some interviews available in September, one day before my husband sent the request for an earlier interview.

Hi everyone. Got a case complete today and they scheduled the interview already.

My wife's interview is September 3 at 8:30 am...only two weeks away! Will that be enough time to get her medical done and the results back?
