For a K1 in London...No. They do not require proof of your sponsor's citizenship with an I-134.

If you use a joint sponsor for adjustment of status, the I-864 affidavit of support is very specific that the sponsor must show proof of US citizenship or a greencard.

Hi there!

I was just going to ask almost the same question! Being i've been through this before 4yrs ago, not sure if stuff has changed, but for us, we're co-sponsoring our nephew from England, and I couldn't remember the form to use for the financials being on the embassy's website it didnt have the 134 on the list....is that also the form used for us co-sponsors too??

Yes. London doesn't care really about an I-134 from the fiancé if He/she doesn't make enough. You can do the I-134 Instead actually. London just wants a sponsor. This is a K1 fiancé visa your nephew is getting?

Yes a lot has changed with the London part including an upheaval Monday. How far along is the nephew? Maybe the dust will settle by the time he gets to the London part.
