Fees
"The medical examination fee is US$223.35 for adults."
Does this include the needed vaccinations of the following:
Mumps
Measles
Rubella
Polio
Tetanus
Diphtheria
Pertussis
Haemophilus influenzae Type B
Rotavirus
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
Meningococcal disease
Varicella
Pneumococcal
Influenza
Any other vaccinations recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Advisory
Committee for Immunization Practices (how do we know if there are others that they suddenly require??)
Or must we get vaccinated on our own and simply show proof of vaccination?

Depends on your country. For the Philippines as the above poster stated, it is apparently included.

In Australia it is not included and you pay for what you need. This isn't relevant to you but may be relevant to other people.

All vaccines you will get is included on the price.

The Doctor (base on your immunization interview) will be the one to decide what vaccines you will have. In my case i got 3 vaccines as what the doctor tells me. They know what exactly vaccine/s you will need so don't worry about it! ;)

any immunizations, vaccinations are based on your age. But, as a previous poster has already stated any immunizations/vaccinations that are needed are included in the medical fee. Once you get to the US, these requirements are subject to change. But, no worries. There is nothing that can not be taken care of at a locat county health department in the US once you get here at a very reasonable charge. Best of luck!

Thanks to all who replied! Funny I didn't get notification of this post getting all the replies it did!

Okay, in regards to the medical examination itself, are we not allowed to get it done (cheaper) elsewhere, then just the show USEM proof of this? Or do they force us to get it done in Manila?

It is a requirement that you get the exam done at St. Luke's in Manila. Further to the informative reply's you have received, I'd like to add that if you have had some of your vaccinations done recently that you should bring your paper work from your Dr. or Phil health showing which ones and on what date the vaccination's were administered. If the attending Dr. at St. Luke's decides that you need a repeat or booster, then it will be included in your payment at no additional expense to you. Of course, if you already received the vac. then they will not reduce your fee. As they say "The fee is the fee"!

Ok, now step back, take a deep breath and slowly exhale. Now go get the exam completed so you are that much closer to meeting the one you love. Godspeed. good.gif

Good luck

It's all included in the fee that you're gonna pay.

From the vital signs and weigh to the eye test, urine test, blood test, xray, physical and immunization, cd of your xray and the result of the medical exam and possible (ofcourse) doctor's fee and clinic staff's fee idea9dv.gif

Immunization will be dependent on what the doctor will tell you after asking you a lot of questions from different kind of sickness (if you have those before or at present like diabetes, cancer, kidney infection, etc.), proof of the chickenpox (the scars), the vaccination records if you have any (pinoy usually have vaccine scars in shoulders from childhood vaccination, the doctor will know about this), etc.

And the best thing is being MARRIED to the person you love and accepting that the future will unfold itself while the two of you still bonded by the same word everybody called LOVE. Yes you have to get the medical done at SLEC, no options, as SLEC is the designated medical facility by USEM.

Looks like you will have your MNL # soon!!

Rock 'n' roll time!!
