Don't Know Why Visa Still at Administrative Processing

Feeling frustrated, it's been 20 days now since my interview. The american consul said i was approved but haven't placed my medical results on record. They actually received it last 3 days before my interview date. I'm on administrative processing because of that as stated on the form. I don't know why it takes much longer for them to review my case. Anyone here who experienced the same thing? I'm on CR 1 Visa.

Sorry to hear this. But, admin. processing puts a "hold" on issuance of your visa and, from my personal experience, can take at least 30 day to 90 days or longer... to process. Most petitions put on "admin. processing" take less than 60 days for a decision. Best of luck!

not really coz i think the agent who talked to my husband didn't really check my status.. i would believe on waiting for a text from 2Go if my status in the website is already issued. until now it is still at AP.. last updated yesterday.. i'm just hoping later today they will change it to ISSuED.. sent them another email..

Was there a control code at the top of the 221g letter given you? Have you checked the CEAC website using that code?

there's none... are those numbers? the control code? are those the number being shown on the screen while waiting for the interview?

No control number is a good thing, you are not under AP (from what a read there is a control at the top of the 221g if you are under AP)... just waiting for your medical file to get linked up with the other file, once they do their final review then they should be issuing your visa.

yes no control number. i wonder why it takes more than 22 days for them to review my medical results when it has been there 3 days before my interview. people i know who took their medical the same day with mine already received their visas... it's been 23 days now still at AP..
