Thank you for you input , i may have to bite the bullet on this one and wait it out as well. I only wish somebody here did what i was about to do and can share the outcome of it..

I know the feeling. I wish the same thing too. That's why before I filed my N400. I read and research for some here in VJ and some other immigration forums. But I have no luck, can't find a single one that is brave enough to do the "risk".

I've seen some posts where people refer to have the "documentation for the interview" ready. What documentation do we have to take?

If you have to take anything (it's decided on a case by case basis) you'll be notified of what through a yellow letter that USCIS will send in the mail.

NATURALIZATION
07-03-2013: Eligible to file
07-22-2013: Application sent (Delivered: 07-24-13)
08-05-2013: NOA1 received (Priority date: 07-24-13, Check cashed: 07-29-13)
08-22-2013: Biometrics (Received: 08-06-13, Walk-in: 08-08-13)
09-03-2013: Inline for interview (Yellow letter received: 10-23-13)
11-04-2013: Interview scheduled (Received: 11-09-13)
12-12-2013: Interview (Approved)
01-03-2014: Oath ceremony, passport application and passport received

Could someone please add my timeline to the August N-400 tracker? I sent the application on 7/26/13 to the Dallas, TX Service Center. It was delivered on 7/31/13 and they cashed the check on 8/5/13. I have yet to receive the NOA.

This happened to me...I owed IRS, I didn't know I needed a payment arrangement when I filed in August. A week before my interview in December, a friend of mine told me I needed a payment arrangemt with IRS. So, I called IRS and set up a payment plan. I requested a fax documenting the payment plan and a basic letter was faxed. I went to the interview and the IO had no problem as the letter stated when and how much I was going to pay every month. I received the payment plan letter in the mail from IRS after becoming a citizen!

Jan 1999- F1 to USA

June 2006- AOS thru D.O.R.A.

Dec 2009- Oath. Finally a U.S Citizen

How did you guys get the tax return transcripts? I told my husband to get them and now he's handing me some stuff from the social security administration that I'm pretty sure has nothing to do with this... I've been on hold with the IRS for 1 hour now, will they be able to fax me the transcripts?

I got mine in 7 business days.

I tried that and I always get an error, don't know why... I finallyy got to a person and then she wasn't getting tone for my fax machine, had to hang up, got to a friend's house to use his fax machine and finally got them. I know I could have requested them by mail, but I really want to send this package on tuesday when my window to apply opens, my foreign passport expires in december and I don't want to spend almost $300 on a new one if I can just get the citizenship and get an US one. Currently the processing time for the N-400 is less than 4 months, if I send my package soon I might get the interview sometime in november

do we need to send a copy of our tax transcript, or the original tax transcript?

I have the original which I ordered back in 2011, my latest tax is from 2010 (been unemployed since then), I'm ordering it again just in case

Anyway, I cannot file right now, but next month, I will be receiving some money, and I will send my application

So, basically all you need to send is

  1. Completed N-400 form
  2. G-1145(E-Notification of Application)
  3. A check for $680 toward application fee ($595) and biometric service fee ($85)
  4. Two recent photographs of me, each with my name and Alien number printed on the back
  5. A copy of both sides of my permanent resident card
  6. A copy of my driver’s license
  7. A copy of my driving record

I have pretty much all of that, expect the money, next month

Is it really necessary to send your driving record? I also got 2 tickets back in 2007

Where can I get my driving record?
