I got about 4 hours sleep. Its stormy here and was a noisy night with the wind howling. I'm really so appreciative of all the good wishes. But I'm afraid. One of the DOS people warned me there could be another name hit situation. We have a hard time understanding how that could be after he's already given full prints and all that. I mean if that was the case, no "Mohammed" would ever be issued a visa. At the time she told me this, she also said "you have to be careful they don't return your case." I reminded her they had already tried to issue in August, after she had just finished telling me so, so how could that be a problem and she said, "Oh right, yes, well I had forgotten that." I've read that email 1,000 times... "is issuing" so I'm not sure if she had her head in the right place. After all these months I'm seriously afraid to EXHALE. When he has his passport in hand, then I will. Am I being overly paranoid? *melt down*

Meanwhile, Mohammed says he wants to try to be here by next Friday. It will depend on when (frail attempt at being positive) his passport arrives, and how fast we can pull it all together.

I know that all of this is hard to believe, just breath deeply and go with the flow. I pray your honey arrives to you safely and you will put this long wait behind you.

This email is from the lady I talked to at DOS who said she would do the inquiry. I'm ashamed to admit I got tearful when I talked to her. She was really a saint and went the extra mile. God bless her. There is a man in Egypt who is absolutely bouncing off the walls tonight.

I hope the congratulations aren't premature. If that kicks off another name hit we both are gonna DIE. If not, he should have it by Tuesday or Wednesday and we're going to try to get him here ASAP. If not next weekend, the following one. Enshaa Allah. (If I don't say that, he'll kick my butt.)

Congratulations!! Can't wait to hear when it will finally be IN HAND! :star:

Don't be ashamed to get tearful!! I did the same thing after someone hung up on me midsentence at Casa! Called back, got the same person who hung up on me, who was then kind enough to let me talk/cry to someone else who was from the right department!

While their email wasn't as personal as the one you got (no soon you will be together, but hey this is Casa we're talking about!), I did get an email from them the day they issued the visa! :luv:

timeline doesn't matter.

It's so normal to hestitate to beleive the visa is being issued after all of this wait and fear it would never happen. But it is happening and he will soon be with you. Hang in there! Get some rest today. Treat yourself well. (F)

Congratulations Jean! I am so happy for you. You have waited so so long. I kept wondering all along if Casa really meant to come for the visa so I think it's quite normal to wonder. I can't wait to hear that he has his visa in his hands! He will be here next Friday!:dance::dance:
