Why do you have to go to Montreal? That doesn't make any sense:\

Kash cr-1?

Yeah, CR-1 - we got married July 5th. :)

Well, I am in administrative Processing now because they didnt read the forms where I checked that my kids arent coming with me or following me. They Tried to call me while i was driving home and sent me an e-mail, so I responded to the e-mamil to provide a statement that they were not following or coming. Hopefully they will get that today and get the visa out ASAP. I am not putting any notices in until I have my visa firmly in hand.

Fingers crossed that it goes through quickly for you!

For sure, it should just be a short trip. I think my wife is going to try to come up for it, as well, because she's never been to Montreal, and we might as well make a vacation out of it. The travel costs are going to be brutal, though. :X

And hooray for having the visa on hand! Your adventure is about to begin! :)

This is my first time posting here. I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging, but I'm so excited right now! I applied for an I-129F for fiance on May 31 and it went thru Vermont, was transferred to Texas, then approved on Aug 30! I called the NVC two weeks later and they said they sent it to Montreal on Sept 11. I waited a week and called the DOS today and they said they recieved the papers on Sept 11! and then sent out for the package 3 papers on Sept 16!! That's so fast! I don't know how Montreal recieved the papers in one day, but maybe they meant that Montreal recieved the papers on Sept 11. Both representatives were very nice to me though and answered all my questions. I can't believe this is happening so fast! We didn't think i would be approved until December or that he would get an interview until april or june of next year! Now it looks like he could have an interview by October or November. I'm so excited!! I'm on the phone waiting NVC for the Invoice ID # which is being asked for on one of the electronic forms my fiance is trying to log into. I don't see it on any of my papers! I'm so glad I found Visa Journey or I wouldn't have any idea of what to do after I got the approval! Thanks everyone!

Congrats..still waiting for my noa 2 approval. Filed July 1st, transferred to Texas a month later. The timeline estimator on this site says I should know something by early to mid October (provided the government doesn't shut down - I don't think it will). Interestingly enough I'm going for a visit right around that time for my birthday. I have a nexus card so I don't really think I'll be stopped but I'll have plenty of documentation with me just in case. I can't wait. This will be or first visit since a 3 day stint in July and my first time back in a year.

I have a question: for the package 3 is this all we provide:

Signed Checklist
DS-160 x 1
DS-156K x 1
DS-230 x 1
DS-156 x 2
US style passport photos of the beneficiary x 2

What about the rest of the papers? Do we mail copies of that too? Or does he just bring it to the interview?
