Once you have a case number from NVC, is it possible to use it to track your case and see whats happening to in the same way as with USCIS. I have looked on NVC website and can not see anything. It's a K1 visa for London embassy

OK thanks, we were told call back in a week. Maybe London embassy has a way.

Hi!

As people say, there is no NVC status updater. You can call them for this info but I expect you did this to get your case number.

However, you will likely be at NVC less than a week. Once your case is forwarded to Department of State (DoS)/Embassy, there is a tracker, using your case number (LNDXXXXXXXXXX). Its is here:

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?

(you need the immigrant visa one, even though K1 is technically not an immigrant visa)

It only has a few statuses, so its not super useful but it does show the date your case got updated, which allows you to know when an event has happened, like them logging your paperwork or issuing you with an interview. Don't panic if your number doesn't work in this today though, it might not be live for you for a few days until it gets to DoS.

Have you been to the UK specific forum? Now that you are in NVC and heading to the embassy soon, it is the best place to be. There is lots of really detailed London embassy info (as after NVC, each embassy proceeds idifferently) and some really helpful people. I read it every day since my NOA2 and it really helped to get everything right! In particular, read the "London 2012 K1's from NOA2 tro interview" pinned thread.

Congratulations on getting to NVC, this is the exciting stage now :)
