I wish to express my profound appreciation for all the kind words I received in regards to my post. After the longest 2 weeks with no contact , whatsoever, I finally was able to reach my husband.

He did have a head injury but he is on the mend now hamdullilah.

What this really slammed home to me, was how very important it is to always have some sort of a contact. As I explained to him -what if you had been gravely injured and I couldnt have reached you=what if I couldnt get to you in time? I require a visa for Algeria, its not one of those countries that I can just waltz into with only a passport! The Algerian embassy stated to me that even though i am married to him, I would still require an invitation letter!!! Arghhhh! And naturally, he didnt get it when i tried to explain to him -but how could I get an invitation letter from someone with a head injury -who might have been unconscious for all i knew at that time???

I think that some sort of a networking system between sisters might be a good idea -I cannot tell you how many hours of fretting and worrying I went thru -and I know that everyone else who experienced similar crisis, went thru the same thing as I did. I was simply amazed at how quickly, a sort of networking was beginning in my thread; after one after the other either responded here or emailed me with offers to help and contact possibilities.

Anyways, i am relieved to say he is on the mend, And though i know he didnt,/doesnt want to worry me, I find it extremely frustrating to say the least, that he wont really go into detail about it -maybe when im with him in person, he will probably open up. Darn those stubborn Kabylies! lol! As one lady here explained to me, it must be a cultural thing -they dont necessarily complain or go into details about illness;

Anyways i just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Sincerely, Mimiiw

I saw your post before and I am glad to see he is ok. I would be very frustrated if something like that happened to my husband when he was in Morocco and he and his family didn't contact me in some way shape or form. I bet you were pretty upset.

Phew...That is good news. I am glad he is on the mend. :) alhamdulilah I have phone numbers for my fiance's brothers and a sister just in case. ;) Both of his brothers are fluent in english which helps. I would go crazy if I couldn't contact him for any emergency. Now you can focus on getting him here. inshaallah
