Transfers, watch out!

Hey guys, I just wanted to extend a warning to anyone getting your case transferred between embassies. I had mine transferred last week, including providing the new West Coast address for my fiance.

Craig then tried to call Vancouver to see if our case had arrived. They told him yes that it was there, but they couldn't verify any information (they had spelled his name wrong on the transfer email).

So I emailed Vancouver today to make sure the name was right, and they emailed me back saying they couldn't send out Packet 3 because they never received an updated address!!!! Silly! It was sent to you when you got the case!

I can't even imagine how long it would have taken before they would have realized they didn't have a Packet 3 address! So, if you are gonna get transferred, make SURE they have the address.

This isn't just a transfer thing, it's an NVC thing. I changed my address at the NVC level(just within Ontario, not to transfer), and they didn't forward it to Montreal, who sent Packet 3 to the wrong place.

Montreal was really good about the change in address. I thought it would be a big hassle, but they took my fiancee's info and all her stuff arrived at the new one.
