Hey guys !! Just got our noa2 yesterday, and I'm a little confused on what comes next ,I know our file gets sent to nvc and then onto London ,but I was wondering how do I find out when the California send our file to nvc? Will everything still be updated via uscis website? Also does our case number get mailed to us?

Yay. Congrats.

In short.. you case is now on it's way to the NVC, who will then send it to London. When it's at the NVC, you'll get a new case number starting LND and that'll be what you use to look up your visa application status (that'll be on the CEAC website now, not USCIS https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker ). You can't find out anything yet for a few more days (they batch send the cases, so yours won't just go solo immediately). If you want to know that the NVC has your package, you basically have to keep calling them, which is sort of boring... but that's the only way.

You can get your new LND number from the NVC, when it's arrived and you've been input. The way you're supposed to get your LND is when London send you your "Packet 3" letter in the mail, which is that code plus further instructions.
