Hey guys, I'm getting a little worried. We got transfered to CSC on Jan 8th and we haven't heard anythign from them. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we're a same sex couple. I don't know really.

Don't sweat it, lorenalen. I'm a same-sex couple, too. I filed the day after DOMA fell, and was transferred to TSC on December 27th. It's just going to take time.

Believe me, I shake my fist at the heavens every day when I check my email and there is no NOA2. It's day 213 today. Ridiculous.

Also transferred to CSC on January 8 and still waiting. CSC's clearly not the swift clearing house it was starting to look like a few weeks back... Ditto on the congrats!

I usually expect to see notices from USCIS first thing in the morning. However, it appears that today, a real human being picked up my petition.

I got the "Your Alien Registration Number has been changed...." notification!

Last Friday, a June filer got this message on Friday, and was approved the next Monday. Here's hoping the same thing happens.

I actually straddle the month - I applied on June 27, got notice of receipt on June 28, but my POA date is July 1st. So I am posting on both the June and July forums!

So...this is 30 days from transfer to TSC. And again, it just means a human picked up the file and assigned a number to it...

I could either get approval, or an RFE. We'll see!

Just got off the phone with USCIS customer service (tier 1).

I was told that the dates for my service requests were a week later than the date they were initiated:

1- initited on December 27: this was initiated on December 30 according to them and was never answered.

2- initiated on 15 January: it shows January 21st according to them, they answered it via a letter on the 28th and it is in the mail (no idea what it says but I know it did not due what I was expecting it to do).

3- initiated on the 27th January: no answer yet.

Good luck, just a word of caution however, I got the same notice from CSC on Jan 15th and got all excited as most people seem to imply that means you will get your NOA2 or RFE, but I'm still waiting. It caused me a great deal of sleepless nights as, being in the UK, the notifications usually come through during the night but I found myself checking the USCIS website every hour through the night.

That being said, I lot of people do get their NOA2 or RFE following an ARN change so I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you get your approval. Meantime, I'm back into a regular sleeping pattern and checking the site every morning and throughout the evening, but not through the night

we are same sex couple too, I don't think that's going to be an issue for the CSC, but I do imagine that after DOMA was repealed that many same sex LDR couples will have applied around the same time, so it's probably more to do with a large caseload that we are being left hanging.

Interestingly enough, there are May and June filers who are still waiting and when my OH called the USCIS they said they are processing May 13th applications. I really hope we don't have to wait another 6-8 weeks!!!

Jan30 yesterday I got a message about a service request put in on Jan 6 about my I-129f, the message essentially was saying that they didn't reach a decision and I should wait 60days before inquiring again.

Your Case Status: Initial Review


The I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Out of all this, I still didn't hear about my I-130 which is related to the same I-129f, I thought my service request on the I-129f will will help speed things up, but now I don't know if that will make any difference.

the thing for me is that I already received a letter on jan 14 saying I was tranfered to TSC for both

the transfer on both was on jan6, received both letters on jan 14 and now I'm getting an update on the I-129f about something that was already done, I don't understand.

Nobody seems to understand what USCIS is doing!!!

Just got off the phone with NVC, got both my case numbers!

I know there are still several of us who have not even been transferred yet... keep your head up, sending postive vibes to everyone!

FYI- Also had been calling NVC everyday for the past two weeks and received our two NVC case numbers yesterday on the January 30th

1 month & 2 weeks exactly after receiving NOA2, got the case #, Invoice Identification # & gave the email address today. Wohoo!!

Are you guys ready for the NVC stage? I have my tax return tanscripts, letter of employment, and all the civil documents required. I'm just waiting for the NVC to allow me to pay the fees so I can start paying and fill out more forms!
