Financial questions for K-1 Visa

  1. First, I want to congratulate couples got approved for K-1 Visa and say "Good Luck" to those who are still in the process.
  2. I just sent in my K-1 Package to USCIS in Texas and they received it on 7/2/2013 by Fedex. I haven't heard anything since then however that is not a problem. I think I have to wait a few more days for my NOA1.
  3. I didn't send in the form I-134, Affidavit of Support. Should I have included this form in the K-1 package? Or is this something that I can submit later? Please let me know.
  4. I make around 90K a year however I never keep my money in checkings or savings but I like to spend most of the money. Most of the time, I look at my bank account, it usually shows up around 1K. So if I send in my bank statements for last 3 months, which only show up around 1K, will this pose any threats to my application? I am sure I make way more than 125% Federal Poverty Guidelines. Please let me know.

As far as I am aware (correct me if I'm wrong) you'll need the following to prove income at the interview:

  1. The most recent years' tax return (you can attach the last 3 to be extra cautious)
  2. Letter from Employer, with the company letterhead, stating your income, how long you've been employed there, what your job is & whether the position is permanent/temporary.
  3. Most recent pay stubs.
  4. I-134 filled out.
  5. Bank statement from the last 12 months.

There may be more, but that's what I was told you'll need.
