Was your approval notice an I-797 or an I-797C.

We recieved an I-797C notice saying two things. One was that we were approved. The second was that our case was transfered to CSC. From what I can tell, the true intent behind the notice was to inform us that our case was transfered. The statement about our case bing approved is confusing and misleading.

I have always thought that the final approval should be an I-797. (no "C").

I know there was some confusion in the content of the NOAs sent out during case transfers. Not sure if Ugly_American falls into that category or not - let's wait for their response.

USA

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

And this time the message is different saying the case is transferred and is now is in process at uscis office (phone says at service center)

I received the same email today about my case . The CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. Hope it means a faster processing and approval .

-400 CITIZENSHIP TIMELINE

01-17-2015 = N-400 packet sent (to P.O. Box Dallas via USPS Priority Mail)
01-21-2015 = N-400 packet delivered
01/25/2015 = E confirmation / Text received

01/26/2015 = Check cashed .

02/02/2015 = NOA1 received (Priority Date 01/21/2015)
02/09/2015 = Biometrics Letter received .

02/18/2015 = Biometrics

02/20/2015 = In line for interview

04/10/2015 = Interview Letter received .

05/11/2015 =Interview .

05/11/2015 = Passed Interview
07/01/2015 = Oath letter received

I got that same message today. I was actually joking with my husband that maybe they'd like to let me know they're going to put our cases on stand-by during gvt. shutdown. Oh well :-P Hopefully they're going to be fast at CSC. Good luck everyone xx

Congratulations to both Leanallen and Ugly_American. Wow, we got two approvals - Leneallen received 10 Yr GC on 9/30 - in less than 60 days and that too from VSC (Leanallen please provide your approval date). Looks like a lot depends on the background check completion.

AAhh. Government efficency and attention to detail at its best! We have to redo our biometrics because my wife's fingerprints were not clear enough. It really makes me feel good about the government taking over the healtcare industry.

At least they were kind enough to not make me pay for it again. No word on if they will pay me for having to miss work.ranting33va.gif

I'm approve with my daughter today got congratulation letter and the 10 year green card from uscis. No interview. I've just sent latest joint bank account in month of August 2013. Thanks to GOD.

Is your case military related or something? I'm asking this because this fast approval from VSC is unthinkable so...

Oh, almost forgot... Congrats :dance:!!

It's not military related... I entered in USA 64 days before our 2 year anniversary, if I waited that 2 months I should have 10 years green card. I entered here sept 29 2011 and got my 2 year green card n 2 weeks. I mailed my removing of condition August 3 2013. I was expecting interview on it coz we just got 3 months joint account coz husband dont believe on joint account. and i keep telling him to have it coz i might be denied because of that no joint account. The bank give statement on that August 3 just one month statement only then right away go to post office and send it..and uscis response immediately.

joint income tax return 2011 & 2012

Lease on apt 2011& 2012

Vehicle title registration certificate both our names

Copy of utility bills under our name

Copy of report of sale of vehicle under our name

Copy of retail installment sale contract under our name

Copy of agreement to furnish insurance policy

Copy of our financing vehicle loan/ car loan statement in both our names

Copy of both drivers license showing same address

Copy of our drivers license change address

Copy of our joint car insurance policy

Copy of life insurance o my wife showing husband and daughter is beneficiary

Copy of immunization consent and tracking form of my stepdaughter that evidence that I took care of her.

Copy of individual taxable interest income from bank showing same address

Copy of joint statement account from becu...

I am very thankful to vj that helps me a lot here in collecting info, I just read and read til I got that those documents, my husband make his signature only I am preparing those, I thought I can't make it... But I did it. Thanks very much to the post here that guides me so much.

I full understand you explanation but USCIS approval in your case appears very strange. Nevertheless please enjoy your approval and all the best with your N400 (Citizenship) application next in an year.
