Any more transfers from VSC to .....

We received a letter today in the mail that states that our case was transferred to California Service Center (CSC) .Kindly update . Wish all a speedy journey .

Yep, still not a big number here on VJ and I know there are more people put there being transferred that aren't on VJ.

Updated all CSC transfers. Just an information - a few of the June cases transferred to CSC actually got approval letters from Local Offices and not from CSC. So we are really not sure where the cases have been transferred to but since the NOA2 gave the CSC address, let's record accordingly. Hopefully the real picture will come out into light soon. In the end it is the approval that matter irrespective of where it comes from. All the best to everyone - keep updating any changes.

Yes we may not trust the online or telephone updates but the letters must be correct.

Just to let you know that we received duplicate letters in the past due some system glitch, so I am just cautious, as one or two applicants whose cases were transferred to CSC actually got approvals from a Local Office - not sure if a subsequent transfer to the local office was communicated in those case or not. Any how we will get to know the details, as applicants share their details.

Forgot to update you guys, My case was also transferred to CSC. Hoping that all of us can get fast approvals!

Successfully completed my biometrics at the Brooklyn ASC today. I was in and out in 10 minutes. The staff were all very friendly and joked around with everyone. It was so nice to have had a pleasant experience during this stressful process!

And now we wait... Good luck to all of us!!

We mailed our I-751 package on 8/9/13. We recieved a notice about them have rec'd the payment after about a week. On 8/19/13 we rec'd our I-797C Notice of ASC Appointment/Biometrics Appointment. The appointment is set for 9/5/13, however we are out of town that day. On 8/20/13 I mailed in a request for rescheduling of appointment.

At any rate, here was what we'd included in our I-751 package:

• Copies of the passport, visa, and green card.

• A copy of our 2012 joint US tax return.

• Copy of our current auto insurance policy.

• Copy of our Medi-Cal health insurance notice showing a joint policy.

• Photos of trips and occasions, along with dates written on the backs of the photos.

We have to reschedule our Bio appt, but the appt notice arrived on 8/19 and appt date was 9/5:

Who, you got approved on 9/25 - congratulations. I didn't update the list as I want to be sure that I understood right.

USA

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

Was your approval notice an I-797 or an I-797C.

We recieved an I-797C notice saying two things. One was that we were approved. The second was that our case was transfered to CSC. From what I can tell, the true intent behind the notice was to inform us that our case was transfered. The statement about our case bing approved is confusing and misleading.

I have always thought that the final approval should be an I-797. (no "C").
