Well it's early Weds morning here in beautiful white icey Seattle. The schools were announced as being closed again today as early as 5pm yesterday...that's how bad it is. It's the ice that is doing people in, and now the temps have dropped into the teens!!! Where is Charles' brrrr guy when I need him??

I am going work on my nursing studies again today. Sure not going into work...geez if I'd have known about his I could have extended my vacation another 4 days :hehe: Didn't even step outside yesterday. Anyone got ideas on how to get back on regular time? it's barely 3am!!! Of course having this cold is not helping me stay up long enough to sleep to a decent hour either!!! :(

Have a good Wednesday!

Maggie

I'm drying off after a long walk in the rain from my car and eating a muffin at my desk. Its still lovely warm here in Kentucky but we're due for snow on Friday. My morning walk to work is kinda cool. I walk along the river park and there are several live Christmas tree stands there. It smells so "Christmasy", especially in the rain. I still don't know what the heck that call from "Washington, DC" was all about. Well, better get to work.

Here in Okla City the cold front is about 1 hr to the west with temps to drop from the now 60 into 20s with about 5 by midnight. Then the snow sleet mixture is supposed to move in with maybe 3 inches by morning tomorrow, sounds like a vacation day to me.

Good Morning everyone

Maggie- I know you miss Omar, but you have to get off Moroccan time :P Just give yourself some times. Traveling east to west is always the most difficult for me. Last time it took me almost 2 weeks to be back to normal. Rest when you can, pamper yourself. Stop worrying about the visa. :)

It sounds like most everyone is waking up to the same thing I am. It is now 11 degrees outside and the roads are icey. I see on the news many cars that have slid off the road. I think I am going to log into work from home this morning and wait it out until the roads are clear before I go in.

I sure wish I could just work from home indefinitely, but my boss is really funky about that. I was even able to log into work in Morocco before. Isn't technology great?

i'm barely awake :sleepy: and i'm going in a little late, so i'll stop at a couple of furniture stores to check out some "chest of drawers" pieces in anticipation of Said's arrival. then a busy day after 11. I had the best lamb sausage & turkey gumbo ever last nite - soooooooooooooooo good! No sign of snow here, maybe some light showers this evening, then some rain tomorrow and cooler weather. I would scooter to work, but I'll have too much laundry to carry home tonite - guess that's a good thing!

Ciao for now..........

Anyone got ideas on how to get back on regular time? it's barely 3am!!!

I think the only thing that really works is to be absolutely cruel to yourself and force yourself to stay up during the day, so you'll finally will be so tired you sleep at night. And no matter how little you sleep, force youself to get up in the morning.

It takes me a good week to get back to normal and that is with a 9 hour time difference.

Greetings to the icey Seattle! :D

Hope husband gets to work from home today, don't trust the I-90 bridge on a cold day.

late day today... don't have to go in until 11:00. eh... makes no difference to me, hubby is away and my cat is sleeping. i just want to be done with AOS. we hit the 6 month mark post interview which is *typically* indicative of going the long haul. let's hope its not the case.

oh ... and its hot here should be around 80 today. :star:
