Hi there,

My American fiancee and I (British citizen) are in the early stages of our K-1 visa application - we sent off and received our NOA1 for the initial I-129F petition, along with all the supporting documents. So far, so good. While we wait for the NOA2, we're sorting out all the documents we'll need for the next stages of the process, and so my question is thus: my fiancee doesn't have an adequate income/assets etc. to prove I wont become a public charge when I arrive in the USA, and so her stepfather will be a co-sponsor - her stepfather DOES have the required income/assets etc to guarantee I won't become a public charge - so when filling out the I-134 Affidavit of Support, what do we have to complete? My fiancee will definitely not be able to sponsor me - does she still have to provide the supporting evidence to prove that/fill out her own form? Do we provide that evidence anyway, alongside a separate form with her stepfather's income + supporting evidence? I've managed to find pretty much all the guidance I've needed so far from visajourney.com and other blogs, websites etc., but I'm struggling to find a definitive answer on this one. Would massively massively appreciate any help anyone can give - we've been doing this long distance business for 3 years now - the last thing we want is to get the forms wrong and delay our being together any longer! Thanks in advance! biggrin.png

Dave.

You would have been better asking this in the UK subforum.

London does accept co-sponsors, and I don't think they want a i-134 from your fiancé. Just the stepfather. But I would double check this, I'm not 100% as we aren't using one.
