I logged into my account on USCIS website and tried to add my case to my portfolio but get a message that I've attempted to add a case that doesn't exist. I've checked to make sure I entered the receipt number correct. Is anyone else having problems with this?

I got the same error when I entered the case number from the NOA1. It did accept the case number from the biometrics number which is a different number. Others can chime in but I think this is a known issue (or feature depending on your perspective) as I think you see something similar when you go through the K-1 AOS process.

Hi guys,

Question....have both of you attended the biometrics together or only the person requesting the visa?

I would have a hard time taking time from work for the appointment date so we were planning on my husband going on his own, but if there is any benefit/need of having the 2 of us there, we may need to reschedule to a later date.

Any advice? Thanks

Only the person getting the biometrics can go. My letter actually states that nobody else is allowed to go with me (unless required for medical/mobility reasons).

My wife will be with me on the day anyway, but she'll have to wait in the car.

So, no you shouldn't plan to go even if you wanted to.

I'm scared, I haven't received ASC appointment yet. I filed July 8,2013 for my I-751 and received NOA July 10th they cashed my check July 12. I noticed that most of July filers already got their appointment schedules. Any thoughts or idea about this. Thank you.

Hi Everyone!

I'd like to join this thread. Looks like almost everyone has received the biometrics notice, and it's getting me worried that I haven't. I sent the packet on 7/26 and received the notice of action the following week (the letter was dated 7/29). I think I should have already received the biometrics notice by now.... I called and they said to wait until after the 30th day...

After reading all the threads, it also worries me that I haven't sent in enough evidence. My husband and I have been together since 2004, married in 2011 and we have been living together since 2009.

Here's what I sent:

  • Joint leases from 2009-now (@ 2 address)
  • Joint tax returns 2011 and 2012
  • 2 Joing Savings Accounts (not much money but a transfer of money savings is added almost monthly)
  • My retirement IRA account with him as the beneficiery (very little money, not sure if this matters)
  • Cable bill that shows the address (it's under my name though)
  • His credit card bill which shows the address
  • My student loans which show him as my co-signer (liability)
  • Tons of holiday, vacation and family gathering photos

Here is my concern... we don't have any checking and credit card account together. He makes most of the money and pays the rent, I take care of small bills like internet and groceries. I'm not as financially responsible so really not a good idea to have a joint credit/checking account was our thought. We don't have any car loan and we both got our car prior to marriage so that's seperate also. We also don't have health insurance plans together because it's cheaper that way... Lastly, I realized I didn't send 2 years worth (since we got married) of joint savings account statements, and instead I only sent the most recent month..... stupid me.

I hope I won't get a RFE... I'm worred. Fingers crossed....

Woahh, happy to receive my ASC appointment letter today, well it was dated Aug. 16 but I just received it today. I'm scheduled to have my biometrics Sept. 3rd. I feel lucky date was my late dad's birthday. Thank you Lord and good luck to everyone.
