Hello all. I just had my interview today. After having prepared all my requirements the consul said my application was good but would take a little time for processing. I really didnt get that pary until the filipino staff of the next window told me to wait for their call for my case will be sent to washington for an administrative processing.

Why is that so? They didnt even told me the reason why. Now i will have another agonizing month or more. I know this has been brought up before but for those who had been through these i ask that may you alsi share your experienes.

I thought i could sleep well tonight but guess thats not gonna happen now and for the rest of the nights???:( :(( :'(

Darnell and others are better at telling you the technical aspects of what could be going on. But to answer your question, yes, I have went through this, and so have many others. Recommend you also post this to your portal, because it is more common and helpful to endure with someone going through your Consulate at the same time. My Consul was Guangzhou. You should wait for your letter from the Consul, and you should see what it says. Does it ask for any additional documents, or does it say that nothing else is required? I would not get too stressed out at this point. If they keep your fiancee's passport, that is a good sign; if they give it back in the mail, it will be awhile. Sometimes, they simply have not finished processing background checks. Most they finish before the appointments which they schedule in advance, but not all. Or, if your fiancee has applied for a visa before, they may have her flagged in their computer system, and want to investigate further. You are right that they won't tell you and that it is frustrating. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do but wait. After months of waiting, I wrote to my Senator for help. This felt good to finally be doing something to get a response from someone. The answer was pretty generic just like an answer via the Consulate website. But at least my Senator had it for tracking purposes. Another problem we had was that all of our documents, one by one, expired while awaiting AP. It was almost like the Consul waited to send an "approval" notice until within 30 days of expiration, and then when we sent the passport back as requested, they would send another RFE for the soon to be expired document, which would cost more money, create more delay, and take another month for them to even read - given the volume of mail at their warehouse - and then another week or two to send another RFI or "approval" notice and request for passport. Finally, my fiancee made it, only to have POE stamp her arrival card incorrectly, creating another couple of months wait - bearable only because we were finally together.

How do i transfer my post on phils. Portal? They have my passport sir still sealed on a ziplock plastic. And thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it. Hopefully theyre just not done with the background check. I just wondered how they will push through with the AP when i got all my evidences of our relationship. They only have my fiance's 1040 & W2., i134

Hey Sasan - ask yer USCitizen Petitioner to call into DoS Hotline and ask for casefile status.

'headed back to DC for AP' is not done, for administrative processing stuff, so I will suggest to you that the PI worker that spoke to you made up some #######.

OTOH, if a detailed namecheck is needed, then it's ordered from the Consular Services office in DC, so that might be what this piece of dung human was trying to tell you.

It's a good sign that the passport was kept - usually if the AP time is to be short, the passport is kept.

I suggest you contact Manila IV on Friday via telephone and inquire for status, and ask yer USCitizen Petitioner to contact the DoS Hotline on Friday, as well.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Congratulations on your approval ! We All Applaud your accomplishment with Most Wonderful Kissies !

Thank you very much sir. I have checked on ceac that my status is "issued". Is this is what i think it is?

so, not engaging with the USCitizen Petitioner, right ? That's just not going to 'work' for you, yes?
