NVC Filers - July 2013

Hey, my AOS using the I-864EZ form was received on 7/11/13 by the NVC. I noticed last week that for 2011 Total Income Figure under question #19, I incorrectly used the Total Wasge $ figure on the corresponding 2011 tax transcript. I should have used the Adjusted Gross Income figure as I did with the other years submitted. ARGH!! I re-did the form and typed up a letter explaining this slight error.

I called to reconfirm the mailing address so I can send this revision and the representative told me to wait until my form is reviewed. They may or may not send me a checklist. Or if I get one, there maybe more information or errors I need to address. My first thought was to send it even before getting a Checklist notification. Now I'm hesitating in sending the revised form.

Anyone here make the same mistake? Did you get a checklist? Also, if you did send the revised AOS to the NVC, did you send it to Attn: DR 31 Rochester Ave.... address?

As the operator suggested, wait until you do get a checklist as there may be more issues. On the flip side, they may not actually notice (it's happened before), and sending them paperwork un-requested may delay your case.

You'll have to send the IV package without the PCC. You'll then get a checklist requesting for the PCC. You can then bring that to show as a request.

I thought I should be receiving a coverpage or instructions email that list documents required for IV Step which you can use to get PCC?

Unless they've changed things since I went through, the package you receive from NVC after paying the IV bill just contains a link to their website to get instructions, contact information, and the bar-coded cover sheet.

You can see the email for yourself here: http://s128.photobucket.com/user/smurf47/library/Immigration/NVC%20DS-230%20email?sort=6&page=1 This is an upload of what mine contained.

Hi Saylin,

I think you are right. Is there anyway we can get PCC ahead of time from Passport Office in India? Without waiting for RFE from NVC and show passport office a documents that can be accepted by them?

Thanks!

Hi all, my I-130 for my husband was approved on May 31st. It still hasn't gotten to NVC. USCIS won't give me any information except to say that I have to wait 30 days from my last inquiry (July 18th). The last update the tier 2 officer has is that it was being prepared for transfer to NVC from the Los Angeles field office. This Friday will be the 8 week mark since my NOA2 date.

Is there anything I can do? The LA field office does not have any appointments available. I have left messages at my congressmen's office and the office's of both my senators - to no avail. I call USCIS almost everyday - and I call NVC everyday.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, can someone knowledgeable give me a general sense as to how long it is taking (on average) for people to get to NVC approval from the time NVC gets the case (assuming no hiccups).

Thank you...

I have left messages at my congressmen's office and the office's of both my senators - to no avail.

I suggest you talk with an immigration liason staffer, instead.

Leaving messages aren't so useful.

So, when you call in again, ask for the immigration liason staffer. If that person isn't in the office, ask when they will return or if they are in another office, and ask for the number.

prep the release form, send a scanned signed version of it and fax it in as well.

NO ILS HUMAN will do anything without a signed release form.

-=-=-=-=

Once you are talking with an ILS human - points to cover:

1. You're worried the casefile will be routed to NRC

2. LA is sitting on the casefile for no good reason, even sequestration doesn't apply at the local office for your casefile processing.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Congratulations on your approval ! We All Applaud your accomplishment with Most Wonderful Kissies !

I am in the exact same situation you are in. My husband's I-130 NOA2 is dated May 31st. I call NVC everyday just as well and keep getting informed Friday will be 8 weeks from our NOA2.

I submitted an inquiry with USCIS and received a letter on 07/05/13 stating our petition was sent to NVC (no date specified) from the LA field office but NVC still has not received it.

I hope we hear something soon. Its hard calling everyday and keep getting the same answer. ClockWatch2.gif
