Hey Saylin, any prediction advice you can provide would be helpful. Received an AOS checklist on 7/1 for the wrong income number reported (didn't match tax return...put adj gross income, not total income). Resubmitted the new I-864 on 7/10, received the standard email response on 7/11, but haven't received the email that it's being reviewed yet. Everything else in the case has been received, reviewed and approved.

Any insight on how long it could take to get a completed case status and an interview date?

they said it wasn't actually accepted until July 16. i called and they told me on july 16, they just accepted it and i would receive iv bill via email any day and i just got it today and paid it.

I don't think we're talking about the same thing. The OPTIN email has nothing to do with the DS-261(online form version of DS-3032.)

I want to make sure you sent an email that opted in for the electronic processing. Without that email, and their acceptance of it, they will not add any of your emailed stuff to your case.

The reply to the OPTIN looks like this:

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your correspondence.

This case is now enrolled in the Electronic Processing Program.

The additional email addresses submitted with the enrollment email were added to our records.

Please note that all forms and documents that we request and require in the future must be scanned copies of the originals. The applicant must present all original forms and documents to the consular officer at their visa interview. Failure to present the required originals at the visa interview will result in a denial or delay in obtaining a visa for the sponsored applicant.

IMPORTANT:

Do not let more than one year pass without contacting the NVC concerning this visa petition. If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

As this case is processing electronically, all forms and documents must be sent via email as scanned attachments to NVCElectronic@state.gov. Sending physical documents to the NVC will delay the processing of your case.

Case Number: MTL##########

Did you send the OPTIN email and get the acceptance?

Obviously it would have the consulate in Mexico vs Canada.

I would think by the end of the month, the checklist will be reviewed, giving you an interview likely in September.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing. I really want this to be over with so my husband can finally move here. Trying to remain patient.

Are the interviews distributed in order your case got completed or is it randomly passed out to all the cases completed?

In most cases (excluding expedites who skip the line), the interviews are scheduled in order of case complete for each country.
