Have not Received Invitation Letter for CDJ and Getting Nervous

Hello Friends,

I have made our appointments for the ASC and the Consulate.

Our ASC appointment is in two weeks and our consulate appointment in CDJ is in three weeks.

We still have not received our invitation letters and I'm getting nervous.

I really need to receive this by July 6th as I'm traveling to Mexico on July 7th and won't be able to check my mail in the week prior to our ASC interview.

Am I just worrying too much or should I be trying to contact someone at the consulate?

Thank you,

Ed

If either you or your fiancee do not receive it before your appointments, you can go early the first morning you are in Juarez and have them print out the letter for you at the information desk there at the consulate.

Hi Kay,

I guess that would mean that somehow we would have to reschedule our ASC appointment which is currently scheduled in a different city and for the week before the CDJ medicals and interview.

I wonder if it is possible to cancel and reschedule the ASC appointment without canceling the consulate interview?

If it is possible to reschedule without messing up our interview, we certainly will have plenty of time to do the ASC in CDJ as we are going to be there for 5 or 6 days.

Regards,

Ed

You can call the embassy and ask them to reschedule the ASC appointment. It only needs to be done at least a day before your interview so you can schedule for when you're in Juarez, and do it at the office there. it's 20 minutes and quick and easy. Don't worry!

No, you do not have to cancel. Two people here on VJ have posted that they were allowed to do their ASC appointment without the letter. They simply explained they had not received it yet and would be getting it when they went to Juarez. Just make sure you have your passport, DS-260 confirmation and appointment confirmation. Then, get the letter when you go to Juarez before the medical and interview.

O.k. This would be awesome. I guess we will see if this week brings the letter and if not we'll give our scheduled ASC appointment a go without the letter. We'll have plenty of time once we get to Juarez. I'm feeling less stressed now.

Thank you Roma and Kay for responding.

Best Regards,

Ed

I'm in the same boat.....!crying.gif

It takes about 4-6 weeks to receive. Some never receive one. You can go early to the Juarez consulate one morning before any of your appointments or medical and get a copy of the letter at the information window there, if you do not receive one before you are scheduled to be in Juarez,
