So we are very excited to say the least. I'm preparing our K-1 package now and getting ready to send it off in just about a month. I want to make sure I have everything in order, last minute additions, etc to make sure I'm all set.

We each have our G-325a signed and dated, intent to marry letter signed and dated by both of us, I-129F signed by me (petitioner), a letter from our parents stating our relationship is true and genuine (we're both of age to marry but thought these letters would help), a letter from both of us stating all information was reviewed by both of us (we filled out the paperwork together while she visited), copies of passport stamps from our passports, to and from boarding passes (all that we could gather), itineraries of each trip we made (about 7 trips), 5-10 pictures of us together, including 1 with her and my parents, small portions of skype conversations (no full conversations) since January, and a passport style photo taken at CVS attached to our G-325a.

  • Petitioner I-I29F signed
  • Petitioner G-325A signed with passport photo
  • Beneficiary G-325A signed with passport photo
  • Petitioner divorce decree
  • Petitioner intent letter signed/dated
  • Beneficiary intent letter signed/dated
  • Passport photo copies
  • Itineraries for 7 trips
  • Boarding passes
  • Letter from parents stating true relationship
  • Photos
  • Letter from counselor for pre marital counseling
  • Skype conversations

I think that's about all I have in the package (I'm doing this by memory so hopefully I'm not forgetting anything). What do you think about this? Enough information to avoid RFE you think? I wanted to overload them with a lot of information up front.

Do you have cover letter (signed), G-1145 form (the info request form) and petitioners birth certificate (copy, both sides!)?

I would skip itineraries, cause they're not really a proof of anything. We picked photos with something characteristic - so we have like white house photo, photo with easy to read nationals tickets in hand (date and place proved ;) )..

And make two copies of EVERYTHING (even the chceck) in your packet - one staying with you, one going with all the originals to your fiancee.

As nannala said, include a cover letter and the G-1145 is optional (only if you want to be notified on phone/email when you get NOA1). Petitioners BC is only needed if you don't have copies after all pages of your passport (they are both used to prove your US citizenship, don't need to send them both). Do make at least a copy of the entire file.

Make sure every form is signed.

I knew I forgot to add a few things. I do have the G-1145 form added, my birth certificate, and a cover letter. All forms contain a signature where they should be. I will make a second copy of everything, I assume for the beneficiary and I to have record of.

At the USCIS stage, they want to see that you two met in the last 2 years. It's up to you if you want to include proof of a real relationship.

When we sent the file to Lewisville, we only included 6 photos, copies after the boarding passes and copy after petitioner's passport with the stamps. We got our NOA2 without a RFE. But, for the interview, I am taking a lot of evidence to the embassy, such as Skype and Facebook conversation, an entire photo album, the original boarding passes, email confirmations, the envelopes with the postal stamps from the cards i've sent him and printscreens from Skype videocalls. At the embassy interview, you have to prove a real and genuine relationship.

When I did my I129 package,I send receipt for the engagement ring, photos of us together AND our parents together, boarding passes, and that about it, and the letters of intent from both parties.I only met her once so there wasn't much boarding passes or emails to show for.

I do have a copy of the engagement ring receipt so I will submit that as well. I just want to hear it, am I fully prepared and should be fine with what I've planned to submit?

You have not indicated the country, which is really important. Different countries have different standards for evidence in the packet. Your packet will eventually get to the embassy so in some countries it is important to put extra evidence in there so the embassy will see it. So what country?
