Female USC vs. Male USC

I was browsing through some threads yesterday and found one where someone had stated that it takes more time for a female USC to be approved (vs. a male USC).

Does anyone know if this is true? Do the trends show this?

I find that highly unlikely. Maybe USC females who want to marry ME/NA men.

Thanks - I understand what you mean in the examples you gave. I'm not worried about my case - my fiance and I met while I was living in his country and we're about the same age.

I was hoping that no one had seen this before. It didn't seem a trend to me.

Doesn't seem to be true as a general rule. Perhaps in cases where the man is from a country with high fraud or ME/NA, due to extra background scrutiny. But there's no other presumption near as I can tell.

I would think it would be if the woman was much older (20+ years), right? Couldn't this set off a red flag. My fiance is from South America and a 1 1/2 yrs younger than me.

I'm not worried about that - I just wanted to know if it was more difficult for a woman USC than a male but doesn't seem to be overall.

If the I-129F applicant is a USC, has met their fiance in the prior two years in person and provides all of the required documentation, it makes no difference if the applicant is male or female.

At the interview, age differences can certainly come into play.

I'll let you know if they make any comments at our interview in Rio. I doubt they will though. In Brazil the risk of fraud is probably mail order brides and much older men, honestly. I think being a girl would make it easier at the interview.

I'ts not like in the ME/NA where so many men scam older women into marrying them. I'm not saying that's the case on VJ, I'm just saying that relationships of older women and younger men in that region can send up a red flag. So in the ME/NA I'll bet fraud is less likely to be suspected of a male USC.
