We had our interview on April 17th, and the woman interviewing my fiancé told him to come back in 2 days to pick up his visa. The very next day, he got a call that our case was actually going through additional administrative processing and that we would just have to wait.

On monday 60 days will have passed since our interview, and the travel.state.gov website says that we may now make inquiries about the status of our visa... but is there anything else we can do? Is there ANY action I can take?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

you can always try to contact the embassy directly for information, but it is likely that you will receive an answer along the lines of still under ap

same here to they are said Some visa applications require additional special clearances or administrative processing, which requires some additional time. When additional special clearances or administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on individual circumstances of each case. We will contact him as soon as we are finished and if you call they will said the same thing i been wait 74 days now

I hope we all receive our visas. I have prayed so much. I have never felt this pain ever in life and our lives are on hold. My fiance has never even left the country. What in the world could they be investigating? If you all receive your visa please post so I can feel a little hope for my case.

God bless everyone!

Some visa applications require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after your interview with a consular officer. Most administrative processing is resolved within 120 days of your visa interview. When additional administrative processing is required, the length of processing time will vary based on the circumstances of each case and some cases this can take up to one year. If it take really long, you might want to consider calling your congressman.

that's wrong it says 60 days in all embassies websites.

We cannot determine how long it will take to complete this process. It is not uncommon for this procedure to take a few months or even longer. We will contact applicants as soon as their visa is ready.
