Saw this pop up on my twitter feed.

"The disorganization and processing times regarding the K1 visa (129f) need to be addressed immediately. Thousands of people are putting their lives on hold and can't even choose a wedding date thanks to the long waits we have to endure while receiving no information for months and months. Thousands of petitions are moved around the country. Service centers remain stagnant for months and months and yet we still remain uninformed. People should not be punished for applying for visas legally."

How much will this help? I'm not sure.

But hey it can't hurt to try.

The problem seems to be that we are such a minority that we can't even get the minimum votes to show up on the radar. This was tried several times during the darkest hours (12/12 - 04/13). I don't recall us ever getting much over 100 signatures.

FWIW, I did the same, even if I did imply that it's tilting at windmills. The idea is right. This system is wrong and needs to be corrected. Of course, seeing the problems at the VA (which make us seem a little trivial), it would appear that the feds have some serious issues. I am proud to say that in my state (Washington) our state government is much MUCH better.
