Hey guys i'm trying to remove my wife's conditional status and renew her green card. I did the I-751 and paid the 590 dollars and sent in all the evidence that was recommended for the form. We received the receipt paperwork extending her conditional status for a year, confirming the payment, and with the Receipt number. The Problem is it has been almost eight months now and when i tried to check the status on both the web and over the phone the system and the employees that i've talked to about the problem say it is an incorrect receipt number. we've received no other paperwork and no biometrics appointment notices. i'm in the military and my wife doesn't speak English that well. i'm due to be going on deployment here within the next 2 to 3 months.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what we should do? We are both at a loss and don't know what else we can do. We've called and talked to employees of USCIS about this but they keep saying that they can't give us a status of her I-751 request and that we have to wait.

Any help would be much appreciated.

It has been 8 months and you received no biometrics appointment notice at all?

Normally, one would have received the biometrics appointment notice within 1 or 2 months after the NOA1 letter.

Thus, it does not sound good at all, with the incorrect receipt number adding to the mix.

Incorrect receipt number, USCIS mix-up and send the letters to wrong people, might be reasons why you never received USCIS letters at all.

There is a chance that USCIS might already denied your wife's ROC for failure to appear for biometrics.

Make an infopass appointment http://infopass.uscis.gov/ (choose whatever services options ) to get into the USCIS local office asap to sort it out with a real USCIS officer.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

Thank you both for the help I'll let you both know what pans out. I tried the military hotline and they are giving me the same run around as the other phone number but with sending emails, so I an appointment and hopefully this will work.
