The Ombudsman are not the problem, and they have already taken action by contacting USCIS to enquire on the OP's behalf. It can take up to 60 days for USCIS to respond to the Ombudsman, so the delay is from the USCIS side and not the Ombudsman side.

So sorry for you...

If it were us, we'd look up on VJ the representatives whose assistant was helpful in the past and contact them, whatever their constituent are.

Sticking to your local representative should be good also. Just another thought.

I hope your case be approved ASAP.

It's definitely not a question of whether your relationship is bona fide, 8.5 years prove a lot! It's the bureaucratic machine that brings so much grief and distress to the loving people...vent, cry, ride a bike, jog, anything that makes you feel even a bit better! Our hearts are with you! heart.gifheart.gifheart.gif

thanks:) it is making it easier to know that someone does care even if you dont know us personally. VJ really gives me the support i need. emotionally and also teaches me on how to move forward. thanks much:)rose.gif

wow.gif ...That's really a long wait!!!

One thing is for sure: nobody is going to appreciate that magical day when they receive their approval more than you are.

Hang in there. It'll happen.

Thanks Tahoma, really means a lot....cray5ol.gifcray5ol.gifcray5ol.gif i am trying to be strong as it is getting rather difficult. Here's hoping something happens. ClockWatch2.gif

I know how much it can be frustrating coz we are going into 6th month yet no approval. this is the verse i read every morning i hope it helps you.

Habakkuk 2: 3

for the vision still has its time, presses on to fulfilment, and will not disappoint. If it delays, wait for it, it will surely come, it will not be late.

Thank you. It is praying that keeps me believing that it will come in God's perfect time. I just wish God would let me in already on why it is getting too long to get done. :(

No, do not do this.

If the Ombudsman have said to expect a response in ~45 - 60 days then this means they have contacted USCIS and USCIS' response to the Ombudsman (who will in turn relay this response to you) can take up to that period of time. Emailing the Ombudsman twice a day when they have already taken on your case will serve only to piss them off and make you look foolish.

ok . got that...we gotta wait on them to make good with their words. thanks hypnosrose.gif

I am sorry to hear about your case. I am sure, it is far more frustrating than any body could understand. My case was just approved two days ago after 9 months with a RFE.

I think it is good idea to stick with one person either your local district congressman office or senator. Take advantage of local congressman office, if one is near by. Don't just rely on email, visit his/her office personally. They have one designated person to work with Federal agencies. They also have a speak-person in CIC. so, send them VJ website database of applicant with userID, NOA1 date, NOA2 date, RFE date. Remember, people who actually help you from congressman/ senator office are just hourlypaid-employees. So, be polite and be objective as much as you can. Make them happy to help you. Thats what I did and I think that worked.

In a mean time, have some patient, stay strong. God bless you.

Thanks for the suggestion :) I will make sure to give my fiance this info. And dont worry, i may vent over here at VJ but we do ask about our case with utmost care when we write to the senator, congresswoman, ombudsman and uscis as we do not want to piss off anyone. My fiance was more than polite to the uscis employee at the infopass appt even if he wanted to shout with frustration. He knows better than to cross anyone there.

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement.heart.gifrose.gif

Thanks, and I'll keep that in mind if I ever end up in the same predicament the OP is currently in. The thinking behind what I suggested is that they, indeed, will get pissed off, and therefore take action just to get rid of the pestering emails. If I were in the OP's shoes, I wouldn't care if I pissed them off, as they would have pissed me off ten times over.

Thanks Leon, i know you are just relating to our frustrating situation. I dont blame you coz i feel that way sometimes too specially when we dont hear anything at all until now.

God bless you all for sharing your thoughts and taking time to send me messages.rose.gif
