Hi Everyone,

For I-130, I received hard copy of NOA1 today. In the "USCIS Alien Number" and "Date of Birth" fields, it shows my old Alien number and date of birth. Shouldn't USCIS assign a new A# for my wife? Is this a mistake? Please help.

Thanks,

thanks for the reply. i clearly stated that "None" for the A#.

what about yours? does yours show the petitioner's date of birth and A# (if any) in the fields i mentioned?

The only space there should be an A number is on the G-325a. I assume you didn't put YOUR A number on your wife's G-325a? Is it also giving your wife YOUR date of birth? If so you need to call the USCIS and correct the information ASAP.

i double checked both G-325A and I-130. I have not made any mistakes in any of those. Someone messed it up there in USCIS.

thanks for the reply.

I would have thought it is correct. As you are petitioning for your wife. Our NOA1 has my Fiance's (the US Citizen) date of birth and A# is blank as he doesn't have one.

Don't take my word for that though, if you're worried it's best to call and check.

I checked ours as well before I replied. Granted my husband didn't have an A number either though because he was born in the USA. But it did have my correct birthdate.

thanks again. The above line is like this:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTICE TYPE | NOTICE DATE |

Receipt | JUNE X, 2013 |

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CASE TYPE | USCIS ALIEN NUMBER |

I-130, Petition for Alien Relative | A# from petitioner (Me) |

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RECEIPT NUMBER | RECEIVE DATE | PAGE |

Priority Date | Preference Classification | DATE OF BIRTH |

May X, 2013 | 201 B INA SPOUSE OF USC | Petitioner's DOB (Me) |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the DATE OF BIRTH which I marked RED, is there your date of birth or your husband's (the petitioner)? that would clear my misunderstanding.

the information about my wife is in the body of the letter as below and that is correct:

Name Date of Birth Country of Birth Class (If Applicable)

my_wife_name (beneficiary) my_wife_DOB Afghanistan

On my I129-F NOA1 it also shows my A# and my date of birth on the top and then in the body of the letter it shows who I'm petitioning for and shows her date of birth.

Exactly like you have it.

I assume it always shows the petitioner's info at the top on NOA1.

Apologies if I'm reviving a dead thread, but I had a similar question as OP regarding the DOB field. My NOA1 looks like the one quoted below.. USCIS should probably be more explicit about that field
