Sigh....

After they messed up my case and failed to entered my biometrics info in their system last July (even though I have 2 documents showing that I was there and they got my information). The Chicago Field Office sent me another appointment, and put a note on my file with a Intent to Deny if I didn't give them the biometrics. So I went to the appointment (AGAIN!) on April 29th, and they said they will be adjudicating my case, as soon as they received the results back... as per the supervisor I spoke with, she will "personally keep an eye on the file"...

Now I guess I have to sit and wait again, like i've done for almost a year now, hopefully this time i'm not sitting and literally waiting for nothing to happen.

I just wanted to say that I emailed the Rendell guy, I received an email response, then two calls from Washington, D.C. That our background check had cleared and our petition would be assigned to an adjudicator and we should expect to get an official response in 30 days, that was on May 1 or 2nd. So I'll post when we hear more news. Thanks for the tip.

from my immigration lawyer's response, it is totally back-logged even if RFE for green card holder.

They are concentrating on U.S. citizens' files at this moment.

as you see in AILA report, they are processing the applications from 2012.

I am sorry for your situation.

anyways, tell me more about your case and I will ask to my lawyer for you

No, I don't because I came in with a fiance visa, and since my husband is a USC, we were allowed to sent everything as "One-Step", meaning everything is process together. I had to sent an adjustment of status to go from fiance visa to permanent resident. Still requires that the I-130 is approved before hand.

What service center was your I-130 sent to, mine was sent to Nebraska and there I sat for 11 months. They had me down as my I-130 arriving to them June 24 Th due to a mistake they made, so in total I sat at USCIS for 13 months then all of a sudden I was moved to NVC. Some have their case sent to NVC at five or six months so there is hope.

Listen don't use hope your almost there, I miss my husband so much I spend my evenings crying but what good would it do to throw ever thing away at this point! Just hang in there, save this thread and come laugh and cry with us until it's your time. And you may be close to NVC depending on where you are. You can also call your Senator ask them to look into your case. Go to their website there you can fill out a form to give them permission for them to do that for you. Might work, might not and if you can take it to the Senators office if possible. Much luck and please keep us updated. Know you are NOT alone in your loneliness and sadness of being away from your loved one. :((F)(L)(F)

Come to this thread even if your not at the NVC stage yet we will keep you company. :)
