Just a suggestion. Call and speak to a tier 2 and ask them to do an express message, they have to respond with in 5 days. Also try emailing Rendell Jones he will assign it and you will get a response in 2 weeks. I did both of these.

This helps with NVC or the Embassies? I think nothing helps with the Embassies but maybe the president and he wont lift a finger for us.

After an excruciating 30 days begging USCIS to give us a copy of the RfE that "supposedly was sent" last October (even though we never received any updates and the receipt number was never updated online), and doing it all: 2 infopasses, countless calls to tier 2 officers, expedite requests, service request, faxes, emails, senators, you name it... they told us the RfE was for my biometrics, they told me my biometrics is only good for 18 months. i showed the officer my notice from last July, stamped and signed, and the officer told me that for some reason it wasn't entered in the system.

OK... process, I got them to admit that they messed up on something. However, I find it too much coincidence that they would send me another biometrics appointments only after we complained so much, and that the letter they "sent" in October was undeliverable (even though we received over 10 correspondence from USICS before and after with no problems). What is their protocole anyway? Something gets undelivered and they just sit around for 6 months, don't try to resend it? don't contact anyone?

I mean, we spent so much in this case to try to find out what they wanted from us, and very likely will have to cancel our honeymoon again, because of a data entry error from their part, and because someone didn't want do his/her job.

I think the biometrics is just another excuse to buy time, because they have no idea what is going on and know they messed up. At least we have something to work with. In 2 weeks when it comes back clear ( AGAIN, for the 3rd time in 18 months), USCIS will have no more excuses to give us.

Express message? Never heard about this one. Ok will tell my Husband about it. And rendell jones I mailed already three times and even got a response back around a month back. Nothing happened.

Holy cow I'm so sorry you had to go through that OMG I would have killed them. They are covering up someones huge mistake or laziness no doubt. They need to at least expedite your case because it was their fault. Let your Senator know what happened maybe they can push them to expedite it's worth a try. Good luck to you.

Now I have another biometrics appointment next Tuesday, and our lawyer is stopping by the Chicago office for an infopass to put some pressure too. I will definitely keep our senator updated on the case.

Congratulations and welcome.

After approval of your I-130, I'm guessing that is what you sent to USCIS then your approved then your file is sent to NVC National Visa Center, you wait again for your in my case Nebraska Service Center to sent it to NVC then NVC will (wink) let you know it arrived but really your supposed to call and it took about two weeks for NSC to send mine to NVC then you get your Case number and invoice number hopefully the same day and you better call at least once a week to check and see if they have it. With these numbers you can enter the website to file your first forms and pay the fees. You basically wait for everything but should only be two to three months. Then you (God willing) you get a complete sorry brain freeze I'm a bit tired then you wait for your interview date. But as everyone will say read the first post on this thread all the information you will need is there and if confused come ask the wonderful people here for help. You get answers pretty quick here but familiarize yourself with the first post click on the link and you will know all that is next. Pretty crummy job in explaining but it's late and I'm sticking to it. (F)
