Hi everyone, Im starting to think I have some form of OCD while organizing my documents for my interview with MTL this coming Monday! Might just be nerves too!

I've been organizing everything into page protectors, and using a mini neon post-it note to list what's in each page protector packet. All my packets will be stored into a hard cord accordion file folder. I have my original documents organized and have also prepared two copies of everything I'll be bringing.

All in all, I have my originals and two copies. Is that too much to bring in?

Here's how I've organized everything, and blurred out some info and faces, just in case

You know, Im usually a very good sleeper. Ive been known to sleep even standing up ( Thats what you learn to do when you take a train to work everyday, during rush hour and have no place to sit )

But as of late, its been such a battle to relax and fall asleep. I know this whole immigration process is mainly to blame, and I guess I should have seen that coming, but I didnt.

Its almost 2 in the morning, and Im here... browsing VJ and reading interview reviews at Rio de Janeiro. I guess that isnt helping either, I've read so much on that embassy I almost feel like I work there.

So this is a message to all of you that are awaiting for your interviews in July, those of you that got a case complete and are waiting endlessly for that P4, and to all whom are still battling through NVC to get that case complete.

May the last thing you ever lose, be faith. Faith in yourself, in your spouse, in fairness through this whole process. May you always have faith that there are good people out there, who see your cases as more than just paperwork. May there be strength to hold your spouse up when he is down ( Because there will be times he will be there doing that for you ) and above all else, remind yourselves always that this is just one big HUGE bump in the road to a lifetime of happiness.

What a terrific message! I am praying for you both at your interview. Zoila and I have hers on July 9 in Manila. I will be with her and I am already losing sleep. She is very concerned that she will "not pass". I keep telling her we have a legitimate marriage and relationship. We have all our ducks lined up in a row. Photos, marriage certificate, etc and I will be there with her at the interview. Please pray for us also. This can be the most stressful thing for a marriage I guess. We have noe been together since January and we miss each other so much. I think she sometimes gets frightened being younger that I, just 19. I ahve to admit I am not sure I would have been brave enought at 19 to pack up and leave my country to go to a place where I have absolutely no relatives. God Bless both of you on your journey. Lets see... For Canada at the first window they asked me to see the photos, the originals, including the original I-864EZ. Not the whole AOS package, just the signed form, all pages, because they only need photocopies of the transcripts etc... which they get by printing off your file. They took my fingerprints digitally on a machine. And I sat back down.

At the interview window they asked questions and gave me back my original birth certificate and marriage certificate. Again they already have photocopies because they print off your file from the PDF. They did not ask to see any evidence.

Some people were asked very few questions, I was asked a bunch, BUT I also just answer the question asked and don't elaborate beyond that so most of my questions were because of that I think. They were conversational type questions, nothing hard but things you would know. Example: when did you first visit in person? Who visited who? etc... I'm not sure how this works when the spouse is at the interview. I'll assume you can't answer questions for your hubs KDH (teasing you! lol)

I took way too many papers (the entire AOS and IV packages) which were not needed. I would still bring them again BUT I would separate out originals into one section just to give and then keep the rest of the packages separate.

One bit of advice: Remember to tell the first window lady that you get the number from (14 A/B) that you're there for an immigrant visa interview. She gives numbers based off of what kind of interview you are there for.
