Just recieved this notice from my congressmans office. 9 months and counting.

I received a response from the Vermont Service Center, it is attached. Please review the response and let me know if you have any questions. I apologize for the delay in your application. At this time, it would appear that there is nothing more our office can do to assist. Take care.

Cameron Wessel

Casework Manager

Congressman Paul Cook

Here is the response:

After a review of our computer systems, it appears that your constituent's above mentioned petition is located at the Vermont Service Center and pending review.

The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required security checks remain pending.

Until the security checks have been completed, we cannot move forward on your case. These security checks are required to be completed on all applicants who apply for the immigration benefit you are seeking. We will make every effort to make a decision on this case as soon as the security checks are complete. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please contact us by calling our customer service number provided below.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this email response, please contact our office.

Thank you,

Wow 8,000 is a lot. That's 400 of course in conservative VJ numbers. Which means if 5 VJers are approved a day, it will take them 3 months to get through them all. I guess it makes sense now as to why they were transferred, as that is a huge backlog.

On May 23, 2013, we transferred your I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, to your local USCIS Office for further processing.

On May 23, 2013, we transferred your I821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, to your local USCIS Office for further processing.

I've seen a lot of these now, is this usual for these types of application?

I'm thinking not all of the 8,000 were I129Fs, and that Vermont is generally behind on everything?

Coming up on 2 weeks this Friday and not a single transfer has been approved yet!

They were taking that time to train the caseworkers . Now the files have been entered in the system and they are on the floor ready to approve

I don't think they're all I129Fs.

I spent a few hours today going through hundreds of case status' before mine, and I saw quite a few messages saying transferred for other petitions. Quite a lot of I-290Bs that were transferred etc.

Sorry to burst your bubble but here is an alert from the uscis that files were transferred from vsc to Nebraska not texas...So some of those cases you were looking at we're not a Texas transfer because the case status never specifes where they were transferred too

Our senators do not seem to help with K-1 visas.

Did you call them.... Mine has been doing an excellent job ... But I was very pushy but nice with them....

No, I'm not the one with the transfer problem, but I am from California like he is. And I'm just going by what many others from California on here have experienced and stated on here - our two senators, Boxer and Feinstein, don't seem to be very helpful.
