Hi all,

I've been in Bangkok for the past week and we returned the necessary packet 3 items EMS (express delivery) on Tuesday. I have been reading about getting interview dates and just wonder if anyone here has recently gotten their interview date... I'm trying to get some idea of when she'll be scheduled for.

I've also noticed that some have sent emails requesting interview dates and I am curious if I need to do that.

I leave back for the states today and will be writing more soon.

Hey Bill,

I'm sure you had a great week back in BKK. Sounds like you've got alot done already also with regard to medical and Packet 3. That is good news that all is proceeding well for you guys.

I think you and I have about the same timeline. I'm in Chiang Mai right now and AAm and I just took in her packet 3 docs to the Post Office this morning. So, there is a good chance that you and I might actually meet at the Embassy again for the interview dates <haha>.

Well, I've had the blessing to be able to stay with Aam until about the first week of January. I'll check the embassy website in a week or two and see when her interview date is scheduled for. From what I see now, it looks like it will be mid-late January. If it does play out like that, then I plan to email the embassy and explain my situation regarding my current stay in Thailand, and see if they can possibly move up her date. I'll let you know how it goes...

Are you planning on coming back to BKK for her interview?

Peace and travel safe,

MK

Bill,

I haven't seen anyone post the interval between submitting the DS-230 and checklist and the interview for quite some time. Check the VJ timelines to see if you can find any recent information. It used to be 2-3 months. If that's still the case you might expect it to be closer to 3 months since the holiday season is upon us - there will be a lot of days over the next 6 weeks that the consulate is closed.
