My husband and I are together in his country though I will be leaving this week. So, we decided to fill out our forms. RIght now, we are working on the G325A forms. But, I wanna ask you who have gone through Egypt with this form. My husband has had several jobs but all of them were working for someone's company or agency. So where it says list the employment hx, do we list these jobs? I know that in this country maybe they hardly documnet any job at all. He says he has no documentation for him there. The jobs were working in a shipping agency and the other was giving computer courses and translating documents for customers in a cafe. And one more thing, where it says This form is submitted in connection with an application for: I checked "Other" but do not knwo what to write in the blank? We are doing a K3. Anyone have advice for us?? THANKS :)

We filed in Morocco, but the same issue re employment applies there. Since my husband worked for several places without documentation, we were stymied as to what to do, too. It's like damned if you do (paid no taxes) and damned if you don't (you're lying). The advice we got here was to include them because you don't want to be caught lying if they ever check up on that. It seems that they don't, but it's still safer not to lie. A lack of documentation for employment is common, but it is YOUR employment and financial situation they will be most interested in.

As for checking "Other", next to it type "In support of K3 petition". That'll do it.

We listed Moh's jobs for the last five years. Two of them he worked at the same time for a short while. I don't think it really makes a difference if they were documented or not.

In the section where it asks what it's being submitted in conjunction with I put I-130/K3..same for the I-129F..I-129F/K3.

You are doing two sets of the G325A..right? Just leave the date blank on them that way you can enter in the date right before you send out the I129F. Also..have him take two sets of passport style photos while wearing two different shirts. That way he won't have to send you a set when you send in the I-129F.

Rachid was a student at that time so we did not list anything as far as his job history... but not having a job history must have been ok too... are you typing the forms or hand writing them?

One more thing, if you have any "red flags", address them in an addendum to your petition.

1. A very brief courtship followed by a plunge into matrimony;

2. A marriage ceremony arranged only a short time after petitioner arrives in the beneficiary’s country and they meet for the first time;

3. No common language;

4. Petitioner resides with family members of the beneficiary in the US;

5. Petitioner is employed by or has a business relationship with a relative of beneficiary;

6. Petitioner submits phone records that show he uses a residential phone number that is listed in the name of another person.

7. US divorce followed very quickly by an engagement to foreign beneficiary is often a red flag for consular officers.

8. There is little or no documentary evidence of the relationship prior to the actual engagement.

9. Long gaps of time between the petitioner & beneficiary being together in person.

10. Failure to disclose previous marriages;

11. Failure to disclose previous petitions filed on behalf of other beneficiaries.

More on that here.
