I hope all of you, guys, will get your NOA2 as soon as possible!!:)

And for those late-January, February and March filers, who hasn't been transferred - I hope Vermont will start processing their petitions now!:)

03/05/2013 - sent our I-129F to Dallas lockbox
03/11/2013 - NOA-1 date
07/02/2013 - RFE email notification received
07/19/2013 - RFE reply sent to Vermont
07/30/2013 - NOA-2 date
08/26/2013 - case received by NVC, case number assigned
08/28/2013 - case left the NVC
08/30/2013 - case received by the consulate (but not in the system yet)
09/05/2013 - received a letter with instructions from the consulate
09/20/2013 - interview!
09/25/2013 - visa in hand
09/29/2013 - POE
Our AOS Journey:
10/04/2013 - sent our AOS package to Chicago lockbox
10/09/2013 - NOA1 for I-485, I-131, I-765
11/19/2013 - biometrics

It'd be hard to interpret this as anything but good news. Vermont have realized they can't cope with the backlog and at their current rate, December/January filers would be waiting a ridiculous amount

Just wanted to confirm the same as many of you...I received notice on May 24th via text and email about my case being transferred from VSC to somewhere (still waiting on I-797 in usps mail). I called in and was transferred to "2nd level customer service" which had a long wait time (>1 hour) so I left my number as a call back. A lady did call me back and explained I will not lose my place in the "processing line" and usually this means I should get an approval notice in 2-3 weeks. She also told me to call back this week and they should be able to look up more information about my case (e.g. to where it was transferred) since her computer systems did not show the update yet on that Friday (I called in just an hour after receiving the text message).

Thanks to everyone on this site as I was scrambling when I received the text. I was very happy to see others on here at least sharing their thoughts (and hopes) collectively. It is because of you all that I created an account and wanted to post my limited feedback on this situation.

I wish they gave me that much more detailed explanation. I asked the customer service lady if this will extend the time we need to way and she said "no, we will not lose place in line...". But honestly, how can she guarantee that? Realistically she cannot, so I do not know exactly what this means for us. Wish I had more information for you.

Initial Review

On May 29, 2013, we transferred your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

I just hope that means that the local office will approve it immediately...anyone have any ideas on this or know what happens at the local level in immigration?? are they more strict or lenient when it comes to RFE or approval?



My heart was besting fast when i saw the date change on the USCIS site, i was thinking is this our approval!!!

It would be really nice if we all got approved very quickly. Good luck to us all!!

Does anyone know how we find our local offices??? I mean, i live near Pittsburgh PA, so im guessing it would be Pittsburgh. does anyone know?
