Btw, I saw that some people actually got their NOA1 in 2-3 days after they sent their I-129f...that's quick....that means that they saw it online right? Using the receipt number they got from the back of their cheque? Can we get our receipt number if we're using money order?

Only if you used a service that is trackable and provides you the ability to view an image of the cleared order.

I had the Paper 10 days after I sent my petition in, I did not know our case number until then, 3 days after, sending I received the green card, and NOA1 is the date on the actual NOA1 receipt.

I was not able to track the case with USCIS until I actually had the NOA1 Receipt in hand.

The people showing 2 days are showing the date that was shown on the receipt, again there is no email until you get the case number and set up the notification on USCIS website using that number.

I filed I-130 for my father on 6th Nov, 06 and NoA1 in 9th. Eventhough I got NoA1 in mail on 16th, I was able to find case number when check was cleared. I used personal bank check. Behind the check there was EACXXXXXXXXX. Hope this helps.

It took us awhile before we received the I-797 (NOA1) in the mail. I knew it was received by CSC because my check was cashed and I read the receipt number off the back of my check (shown on line thanks to Bank of America.com

Agree with everyone else that you need to use a service that will give you track number...

IF you use check... once they clear the check you know your NOA1 is on the way.
