Evidence with packet 3

Hello again,

I have some silly questions. I read that many people send their evidence of relationship with the packet 3, such as photos, tickets etc. How many of you did it that way? Is it acceptable from the Embassies?

I prepared 2 folders with transparent folder to send my papers. Or should I buy an acco fastener? Or heavy clip. I'm confused.

Depends on the embassy. In my case, I was to send in nothing beforehand, but brought evidence with me to the interview- none of which was looked at. Wait for the embassy to send you their packet 3 and then follow their instructions. Other Germans on here can probably give you a heads up on what to expect.

Thanks for the reply. I know some fellow Germans send evidence with the packet 3 and a friend of mine did not, but they didn't request anything in the embassy to look at like you.

I read some stories of people getting denied for not showing evidence and the interviewers don't want to see them and I'm thinking then, why they say bring evidence that makes no sense, right?

What about the "presentation" of the packet 3? Any tips?

In low fraud countries like Western Europe the evidence probably only comes to play if the interviewer feels there's something suspicious about the relationship. Or they may want to see it just to satisfy their personal curiosity, who knows.

For my interview I brought in a big folder where I had all the paperwork related to our application, everything that was requested in Packet 3, probably around 10 photos, screen shots of my email inbox with messages from my fiance, screen shots of skype calls etc. Presentation doesn't really matter, as long as you know where everything is and can easily produce whatever documents they want to see.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll do fine! I thought it was quite anticlimactic... rolleyes.gif
