I have no idea Shama. Sometimes it takes longer when the male beneficiary is in Pakistan. But in my case even that's not the case. My Husband is USC. Our first marriage for both. It's a total simple case. I have no idea why they r holding it up.

U r the beneficiary in Pakistan? Husband USC?

Nope, I'm the petitioner I'm a USC. My husband's in Pakistan ... service request didn't work for me so they put in an expedite request n than got a response saying they're doing background security checks.... don't know how much longer I can possible wait my patience is being t a step to the limit

Why don't you open a SR? It worked for me. I was approved within two weeks of opening a SR.

Because my Husband called them 2 days before the time in website was changed and at that time since it was showing april date we Cudnt put in a service request so he put expedite instead. Now they gave ur waiting time of 30 days which end on April 17th so if unfortunately nothing happens by then then we can open a service request. Right now I don't think expedite and SR go together.

Hey all,

Our I-130 was approved a few weeks ago and we have yet to receive anything in the mail about it arriving at the NVC. My question now is about the calling of the NVC that many fellow I-130 filers do! Can anybody help us out with this? Where can we find the number to call, which extension, what should we be saying, should we call day after day, etc.?

Thanks everybody, just trying to speed up this process!

Hope everybody is doing well

Yes, just point out the date on your file, date of transfer and tell them that you believed your case was outside of normal time and you need help. Write your case# in the subject line.

Firmly you put the service requests are contradicting, no useful information... Out of processing times.. We sent them multiple e-mails.. Funny thing as well anly8872, my wife received an e-mail from the Texas service center from a request that was put in on the 6th of March.. stating we were approved on the 13th, shipped to nvc...etc..etc! Just shows they really don't communicate well with each other!

Sometimes they don't update the case status to "shipped to NVC", if you want you can call a tier 2 and ask if it has, and when... Or you can call the NVC and ask them if they received your petition yet. You will just need to give them your receipt number from USCIS :).

Good news, maybe that's a glitch text/email or atleast if they transfer your case to local field office. You have a chance to talk with them in person. In some cases, they approved the same day after found out what you need from you.
